Doomwind rises and bows

Frank is already on his (stocking) feet.

"Mm?" She looks up, wary of possible bad news, but then gets a look of pleasant surprise. "Ah! You have come to visit. Good." She returns the bow with a salute.

"YOur hold.. it is like a piece of old country in so manyways"

Dagmar brings the mug over to Brekke. "She's never had a Thanksgiving. She could stay, right?"

The big sidhe looks embarrassed "Dame Dagmar is snill but to impose.. I do not wish that"

Harrumph!

Brekke accepts the mug of coffee with a nod of thanks to Dagmar. As she goes to take her seat (with a brief brush of hands with Frank) she says to Doomwind, "Du er velkommen hit. Dette inkluderer Thanksgiving-feiringen."

And a nod to Dagmar to confirm that, yes, the guest just got invited. She settles in her chair and takes a sip of the coffee.

Oak, meanwhile, is investigating the new visitor.

"Min takk. Hvordan kan jeg så si nei?" A chuckle

"Oak. Manners." the grump troll rumbles.

Dagmar nods, this sounds good.

"Du kan ikke. Ikke prøv, ellers blir jeg irritert." Said with a grin, though.

She pets the dog, andmutters things to the dog in baby talk, norweigan that is

And Oak sits abruptly, trying to be alert and dignified, but welcoming the attention. Oh, the conflict!

"Ja, høvding." She says to the Chief, even as she gets that ear chest double hand combo on the dog

Brekke chuckles. "Du har en venn."

"Han heter Oak."

"Hei, Oak. Du er en kjekk gutt" She says then speaks in rough english "I thank you all for.. the kindness. It is good to hear my home tongue again. I hope it does not... rude?"

"Not at all."

Brekke grins slightly. "It is good to hear, for me."

Dagmar listens, parsing a few words.

"All is well in Teaneck? Er alt bra i Teaneck?"

"Ja," she smiles ""Baronen har Thanksgiving med familien sin, men har vært veldig fornøyd med tjenesten min. Han takker deg for fatene forresten"

Brekke translates briefly for the others, and nods to Doomwind. "I hope they fed his people well. Jeg håper de matet folket hans godt."

"I told her how good Hearth Kerri is."

"Veldig bra. Barons kokker er ikke dårlige" and a nod to Dagmar "I am .. forward to it?"

"Kokker... chef? Yes, Kerri is a good kokker."

"Looking forward to it," Brekke provides the idiom in English, then nods.

"Ja." A nod. "The baron.. his House is..not always trusted? But good man. Sad man"

A sigh. "Yes. And he has been a good friend."

She is sure those words are close enough to parse.

She nods "I am told Aesin have not ..Godt rykte? Ah, what people say of us in Concordia. Not always Godt"

Brekke shifts slightly and sips her coffee before answering. "It is difficult. Vanskelig."

"You're the first Aesin I've met, and you seem nice. Is it true you can talk to animals?"

"Forest Creatures" She says "Wild ones. I can only talk to the hester ..the horses, or other animals with the magic to whisper. "

Dagmar nods. "Still... that must be wonderful."

"Ja. Forgive.. Chieftain, your woods? You show?"

"Mm!" She may have just come in from patrol, but she seems perfectly eager to head back out and show off the treasures of the lands here. "Do you wish to come as well?" to Frank and Dagmar as she stands, finishing her coffee.

the big sidhe rises "Perhaps I talk to squirel? they ... pratsom. talk talk talk the squirels"

"You two should catch up, but maybe tomorrow?"

"I'll go with you ladies, if I may." quietly.

At that, Doomwind inclines her head "Ja, Dame Dagmar. I show you then if you want" a nod to Frank, and the three head out.

and no sooner do the doors close. When Gerd pops inside "Argh"

"Argh?"

"Argh. Not only has my little brother been stolen" joking mostly "Now my boyfriend is off on a drive without me. So suddenly I have no social life."

"Um, COnnor was zonked out after Wolfenoot pork chops..."

"See, how am I supposed to compete with your mom's porkchops? "A smile though "he had fun?"

"I think so. He insisted Brown Dog AND Two Bit get some, and how can you say no on Wolfenoot?"
