"I know some great flowers" Jack volunteers now t hat she's okay with it

Meanwhile, Symon is showing pictures of Gwisin - Korean ghosts - to Lily on his phone. Spooky, long dark hair, hollow eyes... totally his aesthetic already. He just needs a longer wig and a white shawl and he'd be ready to climb out of a well...

Lily gasps at the picutures "Oh she's beautiful, she just wants to be loved.... " A pause "And to drive others to madness and death.. also that"

Kerri looks at her daughter wrangling her friends. "Sylvi, you're not planning on violating Right of Ignorance, I trust."

"Mom, no, not going that far. I totally promise."

Brenda offers Kerri a glass of wine

"Just.. yeah. Okay." Blush-shrug.

"If you wanted to invite your... Nadeen, she'd make a good La Llorona for a theme. We don't even need to murder her first if Sylvi's good enough." He offers to Dagmar, quietly.

"She might not be into it..."

He shrugs.

"Oh, I bet I could get Nadeen into it. Wow...it would take a lot of work to get everybody done up at the same time...but to set up a whole scene? WORTH IT."

Kerri accepts the wine with a look of there's no sense trying to manage them, is there?

Brenda chuckles at that and mimes waving a white flag

"Wow, okay...I gotta plan this out...." And Sylvi settles with her notebook with the others, looking at the images on Symon's phone, making notes about needed supplies, checking prices on her own phone...."

"I hear the crying ladies are a real kith, just not very common in concordia" Lily says

"Where are they from?"

"There are similar myths of them all over the world... some overlap with vampires, though, so someone got confused along the way. "

"Like bansidhe?"

Brenda says "South America has some.. Sir Bachdion mentioned them"

"Maybe Jessica has seen them? I mean, I know Mexico isn't South America, but it's closer...."

"There's this thing called an Aswang... it's called a VISCERA sucker. No teeth like a vampire, but it has a long, tube-like tongue... it looks like a lady during the day, but at night it grows wings on top, and leaves it's torso-down hidden and flies off to suck out peoples internal organs..." He lolls his tongue out and makes a sluuuurping sound.

"Gross!"

"Gluhhh...." Symon is rewarded from a full-bodied shudder from both of the Davidson women in the room.

Brenda has gone pale

Lily claps softly

He gives a hint of a bow. Oh, he enjoyed that.

"I am NOT sleeping alone tonight" Jack declares

"Thank you so much for that, Symon," Kerri says. "I'll be in the kitchen, NOT listening to anymore of that."

And she does vanish into the kitchen.

"Can we go see one some day, Symon?" Lily says

"no, no you really can't" Brenda puts a hoof down

"mooom"

"I think they're in the Philipines."

"I could find some documentaries maybe. I wonder if we could get extra credit."

Squire Brogan in the kitchen looks up at Kerri "Want me to avenge you, Hearth? I could make little pink cupcakes from various females he finds cloying and deliver them to him in pretense" Loyal squire, vindictive darieann

Lily says "Mom, can I look at the documntries?" She hisses the last word in a bit of a slur but is excited

Kerri chuckles. "Oh, thank you, Brogan, but I'm not going to punish a sluagh for sluagh-ing. Now, all is well in here?"

Brenda sighs "Yes. That will be all right. Just don't SHARE it with me"

Brogan bites his lip and seems frozen. Kerri knows what that means. he doesn't want to lie to her "School was.. interesting"

She glances at him, then sets about making a shopping list as she invites him to continue with "Oh?"

"Many of the DeBuke childlings do not like sidhe" He says "And they hide it as well as one would expect.." A mutter "From bumpkins"

He gets a very light swat from a wooden spoon for that mutter. "I'm sure it's difficult, but no need for name calling."

"Yes,Hearth" he sighs "I forget the sluagh aren't the only keen earred ones. It's just.. my house defends it's honor, and our vengeance is feared... but when they get snooty I just have to take it. I tell mhyself It's respect for hospitality, but I worry I'll lose who I am if I let them push me around"

Boyish pride

"It's more than that. Your house has honor. Debuke blood has honor too. Moreover, they have know-how, and they have connections. They would make exceptional allies...if you could learn to respect them and earn their trust."

"Mmm" He ponders "Yes, I suppose the best revenge would be to prove them utterlhhy wrong about me" A nod "Yes. Thank you, hearth"

Then he goes back to working quietly helping her as she needs

Whew, Kerri thinks, and considers another drink...after work is done.

For the kitchen, all is peaceful
