"So your dad is trying to arrange a trod from somewhere in Bergen to near Darkgate?" Siv grins

Sylvi nods. "Yeah. I mean, it's important, right? Connecting allies will be helpful in times of crisis."

"Yes" Siv says "But if you tell me part of you isn't giddy that your boyfriend will be easier to visit without Gerd or a pick up, I'll have serious doubts about your honesty" The Fiona beams

She lowers her voice. "I'm trying to de-emphasize that part. I don't want him to have second thoughts."

"Feh" she says "Which is a word I learned from a friend that serves well. " She lowers her own voice "I'm pretty sure your dad is doing as much for that part if only so he has more chance of having you home by supper"

"Well, yeah. I mean, he knows I go there, and he knows I'll be safer if there's a secure, reliable silver path...but I don't want to be, like, gloating about it." She pauses. "At least, not in front of his face," she adds with an impulsive giggle.

Snerk "yeah, you're right. Soft gratitude ... but still, glad for you" She says "SO glad, that i want to hit you up for a favor maybe?"

"A favor? What is it?"

"I have these ruined silk cloth I'd like you to restore if you could. Not for me, for a dowry... one that was lost to see until I found it. " She says and explains about the shark, and the finding of the jewelry, the coins, the silk.. oh and yeah the shark

"A dowry...but you don't know whose?"

"And is that where those shark leftovers came from?"

"I am using some cantrips to find out, and some of the jewelry seems awfully specific... so hitting dad's books. WHich I don't like doing because if I leavei t the SLIGHTEST bit out of order, he knows. Or Zane notices. You know what it's like for a satyr to tell you you're sloppy?" A sigh

"Pfft, it's just another variety of him being a bit of a know-it-all. Tell him you're testing him. Okay, so do you have the silk here? I can give it a try...."

"Sure.. to my room, and thanks" She guides her into her room. Somethings appear to be missing, other new things are in! This is the first time since Siv's return that Sylvi has seen Siv's room. A Fiona flag hangs on the wall behind the bed. And there's a painting of Siv.. ah.. tastefully covered with a crimson sheet with silver tassels placed VERY strategically

"Now the dowry is on the table" Siv says

She takes a few moments to look over the room. "Wow...you redecorated. Um...who did the painting?"

"Sir Earl DeBuke" She answers "Though he fussed ... he says it's not his usual bit, but I thought it came across nicely. He tends towards the morbid but time at a Fiona hold has taught him some tasteful female drawing."

"Oh, I've met Sir Earl, sure. Um...Miss Zara didn't mind you posing nude for him?" She looks like this would be a dangerous line to walk, indeed. She does go over to the table to look at the dowry while Siv answers.

"I checked with Zara to be sure. I think Earl was more embarrassed by it than she was.. Sides, you can TELL which ones Zara inspires" Siv smiles fondly at a memory "I mean, this painting is grand, quite saucy. On a scale of one to 10 I'd give it an 8. But the ones Zara inspires? Oh creepy to be sure, but honestly, from both aesthic, classic, and just emotive areas.. those are superior. He paints her like a goddess, Sylvi. Like he was making statues for a shrine, or raising up pagan altars. "

And the Dowry is mucch as she said, jewelry, coins! Some of them quite grand. And one has a blazon that she doesn't recognize. And then there is the silk, which must have been high quality before time and tide tore at it

She blinks at the description. "Um...he does nudes of Zara?" She takes a moment to look a bit more closely at the blazon, but then turns her attention to the silk, touching it lightly to get a sense of its fragility.

"See what he did for me with the sheet? Placed just so? Mostly my choosing there right?" Siv says "Well, for her he uses bog and river, dark streams and shadow... and they aren't often obviously Zara unless you know Zara. It's the passion behind them. He's mad crazy for her. "Wistful sigh "I'd love to be worshipped, but Jonas says it would go to me head and he likes sleeping in on Sundays" A hrumph

The silk has to be handled carefully but it can be handled

A laugh. "Wow, okay, so Jonas is getting a sense of humor. I guess it's a survival tactic," she winks. "So...okay...there's a couple of things I can try. A Well of Life will heal, but I've never tried on an object before, just on people and creatures, so I'm not sure if the idea of healing will translate well. Then...." A sigh. "There's Renewal. I haven't really mastered that yet. And it's not permanent. But if it works, it would bring the silk back to its original condition, but only for a few moments."

"Oh, have you tried Whispering it?"

"Not a Spring thing, but I can do it."

A BROW at the survival tactic , but then she says "I can't willow whisper" A blush "Lord knows mom offered to teach me it's just.. EVERYONE knows Primal around here or so it seems so I never saw the need"

"Sure, take advantage of us, I see how it is." Sylvi poses dramatically for a moment...but then grins. "Think of some things you want to ask. I tend to be able to get three questions, when I can get anything at all."

"Fair.. " A pause

Then she lifts fingers one by one

"Ready?"

"What is the name of the bride for who you belonged by right?"

"What Groom were you to be going to as a sign of union?"

"What realm were you headed for before the sea claimed you?"

A pause "Those sound good?"

"Oooh, yeah. I mean...it assumes it was for a bride, but I think that's a pretty good assumption. Okay..."

She starts gathering glamour with a bunk of very gently folding the corners of the silk, quietly whispering, "Something old...something new...something borrowed...and then there's you."

And the cantrip flows

and it awaits

Sylvi leans close and whispers, "What is the name of the bride to whom you belonged by right?"

"Eurolwyn Tencrown"

Sylvi glances at Siv to make sure she heard that, and is hopefully taking notes.

Siv knows not to speak up, but listens intently and is indeed getting a paper and pen and writing down what she thought she heard

Sylvi whispers again, "What groom were you going to as a sign of union?"

"Alanbari, blood of Bran" the whisper says

Siv blinks at that

So does Sylvi. She's learned enough about Troll bloods to recognize the phrase.

"What realm were you headed for, before the sea claimed you?" she asks quietly.

"Red Spruce Roaring"
