Siv comes in, limping and carrying a heavy cargo over her shoulder in a net. "Waste not" She limps, her leg bleeding still a bit, "Want not" As if she expects the shark she's carrying to revive and thrash again "You bit me, we get to eat you"

"What smells like fish?" Kerri asks as she comes out of the kitchen, then looks wide-eyed at the haul...and then at Siv's leg. "Who attacked who?"

"Shark attacked me. " She says "I attacked Shark. I won" Siv says "Can we cook it?"

Looks like a short finned mako. Yeah, there are recipees for that

"That's kind of vengeful. But sure. I haven't cooked shark much, but how hard can it be? Come on, let me get you healed up, too." She ushers Siv into the kitchen.

"Thanks. And it's not kind of, it's very. But waste not want not .Minding my own business and it takes a bite. .hummph. The nerve"

"Minding your own business?" Kerri sounds dubious as she casts the heatherbalm.

"Okay. I was trying to find out what was at the bottom of a reef. I got curious so dived down"

"And it followed. Well, was your curiosity satisfied?"

"Nope. Going back." She says "I think theree's an adventure in this. Came back for healing.. thank you by the way" She looks at her now restored leg "And to provide dinner. If you need something done here though it can wait"

"Nope, I got this. Just don't die, please. It would ruin everybody's appetite for the shark." A wink. She seems to be pretty confident that Siv can take care of herself.

Siv grins and hugs her "well, I'd hate to ruin appetites. If mom and dad ask, tell them I'm hitting the seas for a bit. Just can't say away for long, but I'll be back in time for supper"

And Siv is off... to hit the waves anew

And Hearth has.. shark. .mmm

Kerri gets a busy day, the wilders, bored out of their skulls, now have things to talk about aplenty! The horse rescue is the coolest! No, clearly it's the new building going up at the lake. Ah, anyone notice they're eating SHARK?

Seven-spiced shark steaks, to be exact. She's pleased with how well they came out.

Dirk came over for this, "Eating shark is the coolest." He looks at Siv "you're sometimes useful"

Siv glances over at the younger man "THank you. I live for the praise of being sometimes useful"

Dirk nods

Clearly ignoring sarcasm

"Dirk," Kerri says, "If you really like, there are some less edible parts still in the kitchen for afterwards. More bony bits and such. You're welcome to them. Siv gets the jaws, though."

Brekke approves of the meal as well. "The seasoning is...different," she says. "Not what I am used to. But still good."

"Well, I'd say the GOOD part is because our hearth is a master chef" Siv says "And thanks for saving the jaws for me. I found the treasure when I went back..." She eats "So that's something"

Kerri nods her thanks at the compliment.

"Treasure?" Brekke asks.

"Coins, jewelry, and a small statuette,, there was also some cloth, silk but alas it was worse for wear. " Siv says

"PIrate treasure?" Jack Flap says stunned

"No, a dowry" Siv says

"Indeed?" Brekke says. "Is there a story you know behind this?"

"I'm ressearching it" siv says "I can't keep it" her jaw set "Somewhere, someone might have love involved... if it's a matter of love, it's wrong to hold to it."

Kerri looks pleased at this. "Maybe there's some way to restore the silk? I don't know if Sylvi's arts would work on that."

However, Sylvi isn't present to ask.

"There might be, I hadn't thought of the Spring magics..." Siv looks thoughtful and glances around "Where IS Sylvi?"

Dirk is confused "of course you can keep it. Finder's keepers."

"I think," Kerri says, "that Sylvi and her father are talking about a trod he's working on developing."

Brekke finishes her meal and thanks the Hearth. She rests a hand on Siv's shoulder. "Good hunt, daughter." Then she heads out to do a patrol.

"Trod ? Where.. ooooohhh" Siv grins , then looks to her mother "Safe patrol, mother. I need to explain to Dirk why finders keepers isn't how House Fiona does things"

Dirk rolls his eyes

Kerri chuckles. "Good luck with that." She heads into the kitchen to work on clean-up.
