"Nothing, nothing" Siv sighs

"It will not be for Lodge use, Siv..." Brekke says as she comes downstairs, having heard the last bit of that. "It is for visitors, guests."

"Oh, of course, of course" Siv says "Guests that don't need the bale can still get haven or for diplomacy." Then she says "but surely, when we have no guests or visitors..."

A brow. "You wish to host house parties there?"

Brekke pauses by Frank and rests a hand on his shoulder briefly.

"I ...was... thinking something else but it .. you know" She says "Doesn't matter. " A shrug "Just sometimes da'an laughs"

A soft sound of amusement. "Da'an is a pooka. I am almost certain of it."

Frank touches the hand on his shoulder for the moment it's there.

"That would explain a lot Ah.." A pause "Mom, dad. Some parts of my life you don't want to know about I've noticed"

A blink. She looks at Frank, then over at Olgar, then back to Siv. "If there is something you would like to share...?"

"Siv, if there's something wrong, no matter what it is, we want to know. We want to help."

That she smiles at "Aye. I know. You're.. you're wonderful, both. But.. I also realize that some aspects of my being a grown woman make you a touch nervous. Ah. I've taken steps so some nights I might be gone for a stretch. I've set up a place"

Frank looks puzzled.

"Ah. Have you." Is her mother hiding a grin as she goes to fetch herself a mug of coffee?

"Aye" She says trying to sound prim and confident and very very adult. "It's somewhat private"

"I see." Coffee in hand, Brekke goes to settle in her chair by the fire. "Yet you are telling us."

"I mean the location of it" She clarifies "Anyway, mostly letting you know so you don't panic"

"Well" She rambles "Panic is a strong word"

Frank looks at Brekke, not without alarm..... but also without much understanding.

A brow at panic. "Lady Captain Siv Waveborne of House Fiona... I have made a conscious decision not to worry for your well-being without due cause. But thank you. It is reassuring to know that when you are away from home for a night, it is probably in a place where you feel secure."

"That said...please do send word when you can."

"I may not enjoy the infernal machine..." referring to her ancient cell phone "...but I do know how to read a text."

A snerk "Honest mom, how giddy are you that that McMansion went down? I'm surprised you didn't take a hammer to it yourself"

"I did." She sips her coffee.

A slight grin over to Frank.

His beard shifts.

"You did? OH that I am sorry I missed" Siv says "Did you shatter those damn inconsistent windows? Like pick a shape "

"Mmph. Pre-fabricated nonsense. My great pleasure was the weight-bearing wall on the lakeside. Concrete, begone!" and she adds a bit of a flourish.

"The work that is being done is craftsmanship. It is good."

A grin at the mention of the concrete shattered! "I bet." "How much input are you getting in this?" Siv says "I mean in style and design? Are you going to do a few wood working touches on things?" Intrigued

"I was shown options. I had my choice, made some suggestions. And I will offer wood carving, though I had not done so yet. It would be fitting. Perhaps Tove and Dagmar may also contribute. I will ask them."

"They'd love that. I mean, I know it's for guests, but it should show a connection to Rivervale some. And I am SO relieved to find out it's under lodge use" She admits to her parents "I was afraid I'd be sailing the Narwhal by a home full of mortals"

"Right of Ignorance, Siv."

" I know,hence how that would have gutted that" She nods to her dad

Brekke nods. "The Count suggested purchasing additional land, asked me to select from some options. Having lakefront felt like a priority."

"this isn't part of some clever plan to spy on the wilders without spying on the wilders?" Dubious look then a grin

A small frown.

"I had not considered that possibility. Now that you mention it...." She gives a speculative look.

"I was joking ... joking" She says "Gah. " then a smile "Oh, mom? Can get get more red flowers in the garden? Seeing as House Fiona has landed here?"

Olgar grunts "Frank.. speaking of outside. Let's get that grill moved. Labor day next weekend"

Frank nods and stands, heading to put his shoes on.

Siv waves "love you dad. Be nice, Uncle olgar"

Brekke nods approval at the men's goal, and waits until they are gone before she says to Siv, "Men and fire and meat. It makes them happy."

And out they go.

"Now...red flowers. I think that would be fine. We do have the roses, but more would fit as well. Do you have specific flowers in mind?"

Once they're gone , Siv grins and agrees "Aye. Also best way to get them to do some cooking"

She nods. "Cooking they will fight each other to do."

"Well, I thought roses, but then... well, roses might make dad think of LEanhaun so.. maybe Chrysanthemums or Tulips of that hue? Do you have a preference?"

"Mm. Both are good. Also geraniums. You will need to consider their seasons, unless you wish to sustain them out of season with glamour."

"No, best we don't. Like dad said, right of ignorance.." SHe ponders "Oh, any flowers for the new place? Lake soil might be fussy"
