"They don't understand, do they?" Squire Brogan ap Daireann asks as he hands Nadeen a drink of lemonade

"The trolls? No, they really don't," Nadeen says "And you? Squire. you seem content."

"Dame Kerri is soft in some ways but she is very fitting" Squire Brogan says "But eventually my training will be over. I.. I will miss her" He admits

"Going to run away from your mortal parents to a noble hold?" The Baroness asks

"Likely" the boy nods "When I'm older. I worry it will hurt her feelings. Dame Kerri I mean."

"I thought you meant her," Nadeen says "You'll be able to stay in touch. "

"She did not even want me at first, I know. Perhaps it's Sidhe arrogance that makes me think she'll miss me?" Brogan ponders

"She will want you to prosper and be happy. Within the boundaries of her own view of what's moral, of course" Nadeen sighs "She is still a troll and they can be ..stubborn and rigid at times"

Brogan nods "Fine folk though"

"Fine folk" Nadeen sighs "Very hard not to..admire" A sip

"And you?" Brogan says "Will you s tay in touch when you find your own hold?"

"Oh yes, too much untapped political clout here not to try to keep ties to this place" Nadeen says "The Baroness.. pardon me, Chieftain, hoards her influence like a miser much of the time but when she unleashes"

"It's powerful?" Brogan says

"She's far more influential than she fully realizes. I think she knows better now" Nadeen says "And I am grateful she's listened to me more than once. It's in her own best interest to do so, but trolls don't often care about their own best interest"

"yes. " The boy says "it's a good thing we're here to look out for them some"

Nadeen looks..terribly amused for a second "yes, we will protect them"

That, the squire gets, and he grins.

"You know..." One guy slurs drunkenly "I .. I rode a horse once when I was a kid"

"Yeah?" the other drunk guy says, eying the horses 'You.. you know how ?"

"SHHUUUURREEE" the first guy says "Here, hol..hold the bottle"

Oak barks a warning bark

Dagmar had been in the stable, stacking feed. She peeks out.

"Whooo nice.. nicee doggy.." The drunk now holding the bottle says to his friend "I don.. don't think this dog likes me"

The first drunk moves towards Star "Be.. be jest a minute... I'm gonna ride her.."

Ears are BACK, and weight canted for a mighty kick if they come a few steps closer...

"Hey!" The teen shouts at the strangers.

"Back off."

"Oh shh...it ... "The guy nearly falls off the posts. Which to be fair would hurt less than a kick "Shhh kid don.. don't worry, I'm just going to.. to ride for a bit"

"The dog just ripped off a section of my pants!" The other guys says as Oak tears away some cloth. THAT, the Fae Hound seems to be saying, was a warning. You get one.

"No, you aren't."

"She's MY horse. Back off. This isn't your property."

SNARL BARK GROWL!

"I ..swear you look a bit..purpl..blue ish.." The drunk says. His booze helping his banality if not his brain cells "You.. you got a horse? Does she bite?"

"Her dog does.. come on, Fred..."

Savage growl snap sounds

"Yeah, Star bites. And kicks."

Eyes roll back and teeth are shown.

"Whoa, girl..." A soothing cluck.

"Okay.. okay..." 'Fred' says "Didn't want to ride your ugly horse anyway..."

He starts to get down from the fencing on the outside

A hoof flashes out to kick the post!

"Shhh..."

"Yeah, you didn't." A glance at Fred's friend. "Can you walk him home?"

Her mane is tossed, and she looks for Spark.

Spark walks up to say HI!

the guy falls back on his ass as the post gets kicked "Mean horse!"

"mean dog.. yeah yeah" Friend's friend says "I got him.. we're going we're.. ow!" he gets nipped at

"Oak, stay."

Oak stays but snorts at the guy
