Gerd looks unsure whether she should talk further then says "Yes. I saw. It's.. kind of like your dad's face but maybe a bit worse actually. Wudlig's not a good looking guy. So what? He's got that whole phantom of the opera but with better social skills thing going for him." A bit on guard where this MIGHt be going

Sylvi nods. "Got it. I was just wondering if maybe is was the kind of thing where he thought he was uglier than he actually is." She seems to accept Gerd's assessment easily.

"And you're right, he's really nice."

She smiles at that "he's..treating me like .. " She takes a breath "He's attracted to the fact I'm smart. I told Siv that, said 'what kind of boy cares that his girl is smart'. You know what she said?"

Sylvi raises a brow. "It better not have been something mean."

"She told me most boys don't seem to care about how smart their girlfriends are, but men, men do and appreciate it"

A pleased blush

Sylvi smiles. "Wow. That's a good one. And she's right."

"Yeah, stunned me too" A smirk then more seriously "I thought about it. I mean, I'm young, he's young, but ...hes' already more of a man than some older wilders I know, right? I mean, we still goof and he's not perfect.. oh boy is he not perfect, but then, neither am I"

"Nope, you're totally not," she agrees helpfully.

That earns Sylvi a light poke "You don't have to agree with somethings TOO enthusiastically you know?" then she says "Hey, I know you're doing the good leader thing and good lodgemate thing but .. how are you and Colton? is everything okay? you didn't even stop by here on your way from the farm? For that matter, what's going on at the farm?"

"Oh, um...wow, okay, yeah. So." She explains about the aftermath of the cookies and the kinain being called on to lead and... "...well, some other stuff happened too, but I can't really tell you everything. But I think everything's working out in the long run. And the reason I didn't come back is because SOMEBODY decided to slip part of a cookie into a sandwich and give it to me."

Amazement, then she's engrossed, and then... the sandwich story and she snerks and covers her laugh.. mostly

"Okay, so what did you become?"

A blush. "Um...a satyr." She can't help grinning.

"Oh my god. No wonder you raced off to Colton" This makes her smile escape "is he able to walk?"

She is also blushing mind

A deep breath and a happy sigh. "Let's just say, it's a good thing he's got troll strength. If he were, like, a boggan, he'd be in a coma, I think."

She bites her lip. "Sorry, that's probably TMI."

More sniggering and she just shakes her head "Oh I almost feel sorry for him, until I don't. Still he must have been surprised to find a satyress twin of you there on his door step. Yeah. I think it's a good thing you ah raced after him. Lots of guys might be wanting to know the 'new' girl"

"No no. If anything I respect you having the sense to realize you might want to ah, direct that energy. Though I suppose you could have gone singing and dancing or something"

A deeper blush and a wince. "I marched right into DarkGate, announced who I was, and very clearly announced what we were going to be doing for the rest of the night."

"Oh my god you did not" At the announcement part.

"I totally did!" she says in agony.

Apparently DOING it makes sense. DECLARING it ...

"Ooh I'm so sorry. Was it.. were the halls crowded?"

"Um...enough that we kind of got a small cheering section? I think? I was mostly focused on him, not them...." A sigh. "Folks seemed pretty cool about it in the morning."

"I just REALLY hope that story doesn't get back to my folks. Or...oh, geez, the Chieftain, or the Mountain...."

"Well, not from me that's for sure" Gerd says "And I bet WudLig won't tell.. he's got too much class." 85.7% sure of it

"I think he won't. He was really cool about giving me a ride home. But I bet Colton's getting ragged about it. I'll call him later and make sure thins are good."

Then another blush and grin at something.

"Ah, maybe I'm wrong on this but if anything the guys around him count it as a 'win'" She nods and then smirks "You gonna tell Siv about this? She'll probably high five and fist bump you"

"Maybe. Probably. But she's probably going to pester me for details, or...um, make suggestions." A pause. "I mean...well, part of it was the being a satyr, yeah, and another part was that I didn't have a whole cookie, so I felt like I kind of had to take advantage of the moment before it wore off, so...I was kind of...assertive. And...uh...experimental." Another blush. "And I'm not sure I want her to push me for a lot of details about that."

"I hear you, and I'll zip lips," She says "I mean, Siv is being pretty sneaky about her love nest around the grumps so she does have SOME discretion, but I do wonder about the Fiona angle now."

"How do you mean?"

"I mean the idea of Siv with no fear...she can be reckless enough at times. I worry she's going to do something..ah, foolish?" A sigh "Which is hypocritical of me. I know. I'm the young wilder blah blah. But what happens if she pinches Dirk's cheek?"

"Yeah, you're the wilder with the absinthe chocolates, which now that I'm thinking of it, won't they just taste like licorice? Anyway, if she does that...I hope we hear about it first, so the Chieftain can put some rules on whatever challenge happens. Besides, Siv may be fearless, but Dirk's not as stupid as some people think. No way he'd take a bite out of the Chieftain's youngest."

BLUSH then a pondering "No, Dirk's not. You ever worry we're making him a mmore dangerous predator?"

A pause. "No," she says seriously. "No, if anything, I worry that we keep setting him up to be a target. I know we faked out one group of 'caps who wanted him to prove himself, but I don't think they'll be the last...and he's developed a respectable reputation around here, which will work against him."

"Not all his rep is.. nice" She says remembering the stories already blooming about a balor encounter and the human trafficking "But I guess you have a point. Just sometimes I think if he ever does decide 'fuck it' and Dagmar or the Chief aren't around...He's getting tougher, bigger, stronger AND smarter? Yeah, I think rough as it might be on him to be seen as a friend I am rather glad he's holding to that peacekeeper stuff"

"Seriously. I do not want to end up on his bad side ever again."

"Good. Because when Boxing Day rolls around he's all yours"

"Oh, geez....

"Maybe I'll go on vacation."

"Don't worry, the Chief Hearth and Mountain MIGHT Not go for it, but to hear Vali talk he's supporting it. Wilders in charge of the lodge for a day."

"Well...I mean...they did call me Chief at the Farm while I was up there this time. They figured they needed at full-troll DeBuke, even if only an honorary one. So...I mean, I guess I can do it." Then a snort. "I bet the grumps are going to go out of their way to make it hard for us."

"Probably by acting like spoiled brats in a 'how do you like it' way" She says "hey, how'd that feel? Being Chief Sylvi? Did you like it? Did it scare you?"

"Parts of it were..." she trails off. "Well...parts were hard. And it took a lot of work at first, y'know, getting people to listen and then getting them organized. But then they remembered that they already know how to do everything, so they just picked up with what they needed to do. Once we got there, it was all good."

"Yeah, but how did it feel for YOU?"

"Um." She has to think about it a bit. "I guess I really wasn't paying attention to how I was feeling, I was just doing."
