Anne Marie looks troubled "Oh dear. Symon has been so.. well, safe so far."

Kerri's amused expression fades and she looks at her tea. "It's the nature of wilders to seek out their own homes. Eventually."

Siv ponders "How.. mmm maybe I'm just confused then. I.. don't feel that urge. Not hardly. I can go anywhere in the world fine, and be back. I..." A look at both aldies "Do you think I'm in mom and dad's way? I mean.. not just the fact I have a love life, but am I... do they not get to enjoy each other as just husband and wife because I'm here?" Troubled

"No...no, I don't think it's that. I think...for you it may be very different, Siv. You were born and raised upon the seas of the Dreaming, and only knew Rivervale as a fantasy of 'home.' Now you are here, living the dream." A pause. "Those who were born here may not feel the same. Or...perhaps I am mis-speaking."

"Actually, for my sake at least, that makes sense" Siv says

Anne Marie says "I can't speak for Kerri, but I know that my boys will eventually get further and further a field. Siv, part of being a parent is making sure the young are ready. We never feel they fully are until they prove us wrong, but we LOVe the idea that might prove us wrong even as we miss them terribly. There is nothing the boys can choosee that won't have me a little wistful one day, but there's very ltitle they can do that won't make me proud either"

A bit of a rueful grin, and a tip of the hand towards Anne Marie. "What she said."

"Ugh. You mean there are things in this universe that may have nothing to do with me or at least I'll just have to accept? Yuck" Siv blushes "Okay. I confess I can be a bit vain in that regard. "

A brief chuckle. "Another wilder-thing. Did you want a drink with your snack?"

"Ah, yeah actually, I'm going to take some bottled water. " She says "Since as you've guessed I'm getting snacks for the others too"

"I hadn't actually guessed. OtherS?" she emphasizes the S with a lift of her brows. "How many can this love nest accommodate?"

"Aunt Kerri.. OtherS are helping build it. It's not a harem house" Hurumph

But her blush takes the bite out of her hurumph

"Ahhhh. Well, take good care of your helpers."

"I wil" She says "Thank you. You two have a nice time looking all smug and sly about young folk"

"Oh, you know what? Here...." Kerri goes to a cabinet and pulls out a box. "Carry it carefully. Peach pie."

"Oh.. Aunt Kerri, They'll be too sluggish to keep up working after this" It does not sound like a NO though

"Oh, well, can't have that...." and she makes a half-gesture to put it away. Easily intercepted, though.

"ONNN the other hand. I can use it as an offer AFTER I get another half hour of work out of them" Siv diverts

"Food as a motivator?" Anne Marie says "Why didnt' anyone else ever think of this before, Kerri?" Eyes twinkling

"She's a real innovator, our Siv." She hands over the pie.

Siv says "Clearly, this is why I must remain, to entertain the masses" But she gets the pie box and other good "Thank you anyway even if a bit of fun is being had at me expense" And she sticks her tongue out, and then walks out

Once she's gone, Anne Marie laughs a bit more openly

Kerri shakes her head ruefully.

"Oh she's gotten brassy and unafraid, I suppose part of it is Fionaing, but she's not mean about it" Then Anne Marie says "Of course, what I didn't tell her was the first time one of my boys decides to move out, I'm going to cry buckets and eat a tub of moose track ice cream"

"Call me. We'll make an evening of it."

"No, she's not mean about it. And I actually do appreciate the energy she brings to the Lodge."

"Oh you're a friend" At the offer of sharing the tears and ice cream "it's a known fact that ice cream is zero calories when you eat it with a friend"

"I hear it actually burns calories when eaten on the occasion of emotional distress. So there's that."

"Oh I like this math" Anne Marie says

"Right? All perfectly logical and proven facts." A wink. "More tea?"

"Yes, please" She offers her cup

Kerri pours. "Okay, so...Working on Myrtle Anne, encouraging Siv's cleverness, and preparing for the eventual ice cream extravaganza. What's next?"

"Lut has moved in with his lady, young Miss Storm. And apparently another room in the apartment is being reserved for lodge use"

"Mm, yes, it seems a good idea to have a place for visitors to stay when the Lodge isn't quite the right fit."

"Oh you knew about that... of course you did" Anne Marie tuts at herself "Here I was all sorts of curious.. mm might also be a good place for more ah.. hanky and panky"

A pause...then a wink. "That too. Now and then."

"Might shock the girls to learn that grumps have get aways for that purpose...we're just discrete" A snort

Then she realizes. "Oh! Anne Marie, are you thinking you'd like to use the apartment? You and Dr. Lee might need some privacy, yourselves."

"It wouldn't be all that private, of course...local fae would certainly recognize you, but I hardly think that's a problem."

"Oh no, that thought hadn't occured to me to beh onest. We use this little motel by the lake" She says "It's not fancy, but it's close. Of course, Bruce often sighs .. he WANTS to spoil me, but really not like we were going out and about "

"Oh...wait...little motel...is it the one across from the Horse and Bull Bar & Grill?"

"Yes.. you go there often?" She asks

Kerri grins and even blushes a bit. "That's a favorite for Olgar and me...especially when things get more autumnal."

"oh ... perhaps when arm wrestling contests are on going? " Her good friend, and boggan network devotee asks

eyes sparkling

A blink. "You...you heard about that?!"

A soft laugh "If ith elps, I'm one of the only ones who suspects you of being the arm wrestling Champess"

"Oh, thank goodne--- ONE of the only ones?"

"Myrtlte Anne IS one of my oldest friends, Kerri"
