Sylvi is backing for the big mission. She's almost ready, she's got her list of folks reaedy and rocking. She's got a place to go and an idea how to get there

By wilder standards, this is pretty much planned

Which has her concerned. "Flopsy, what am I forgetting?"

"Let's see, you invited everyone, yes?"

"The seven total I mean?"

"Yup. And I got yesses from everybody."

"Got your arms and armor?" he asks

"Spear, blade, leathers. Check."

"Oooh...I do still need to see about getting the cauldron...." She sounds dubious.

"Mmm yes, good luck on that." A pondering "Ah, do you have anything prepared to buy or trade WITH?"

"Oh! Oh, right...well...I have some dross."

"That's probably not the kind of stuff they're looking for. I mean, for something special, they'll want something special." She looks around her room. "I guess..." She takes a cheer ribbon off the wall and looks at it. "I...could part with this. It's from my first competition...but I know how I did. And the pom-poms from then, too. What do you think?"

"I think it depends on how much YOU will miss them" A tilt of his head "But they can't tkae away the victory or the memory can they?"

"Nope." A nod, and that's settled. She tucks them in her bag.

"And, of course, you can sell Dirk" He adds

"Oof. Careful, he may suggest that you're very edible."

"He already has, why do you think I want to sell him?" Dryly then his ear twitches "Company about to knock on your door"

"Up here, or downstairs?"

She heads for the bedroom door, eitherway.

A knock on her bedroom door

"up here" the rabbit says

"Thanks," dryly to Flopsy with a wink, then she opens the door to find....?

Siv , fiona crimson and silver

The Lady Captain smiles "Hey, got a moment?"

"Oh! Wow, you pack a visual wallop in those colors. Sure, come in." Sylvi motions her to enter.

"Ha.Red Blue and Silver.. KIND of patriotic? " She turns "Hope it looks good on me. I sure stand out, but then, I guess I always did." She enters in

"Little bit, yeah."

Sylvi takes a seat on her bed so Siv can have the chair.

"Not always for the better," And she takes the chair "But ah.. the next question I'm about to ask you is going to sound kind of vain, and maybe insecure."

A dubious look and a quick glance at Flopsy. "Um...okay?"

"Should I withdraw?" Flopsy asks

"Oh, no flopsy, not unless Sylvi wants you to. I know you two are joined and friends besides" Siv says

Sylvi reaches over to ruffle the tuft of hair between Flopsy's ears, a sign he should definitely stay, and then looks at Siv again, waiting.

"Did I do something to upset you? " Siv says "I mean, ever since I got back, it feels like you've been kind of distant"

"Um...oh." She looks away a bit, and then gives a kind of a rueful shrug. "Not... really...?"

"I guess...I mean...well, you're all knighted and noble and on your own more and stuff. Not like...well...not like part of the high school crowd that much anymore, right?" Apologetic.

"I wasn't part of the High School crowd before I left and got my GED. I don't remember you being so... closed off around me then" Siv points out "As for knight and noble and stuff? I mean.. you chat Dagmar up all the time. "

"That's different. I was there when Dagmar had her dream dance."

Siv arches a highly DUBIOUS brow

A sigh and a shrug.

"Dagmar's here. She did all her stuff here. You had to go somewhere else to do what you wanted to do, so...it's like here isn't where you wanted to be. Maybe I'm wrong."

A stunned look

"Wait. You think I turned my back on Rivervale so now I'm no longer OF it?" disbelief

"Noooo, that's not it. It's just...." A vague gesture. "I dunno, Siv. I mean...when's the last time you decided to hang out with Symon, or Dirk, or Lucia. Doesn't it kind of feel like we have slightly different crowds?"

"I went on a quest with Symon... for a dragonlance. I've patrolled with Dirk.. recently in fact. Sylvi, I don't have 'differen't crowds'. I'm gone for a few months because there's no Fiona to really learn from HERE and suddenly I'm persona non grata?"

"No!" She looks stricken. "Wow, Siv, no!"

"There was a time I wasn't ALLOWED to come back here, Sylvi. You have no idea how homesick I was. " Siv looks troubled "It was a month before I made a friend besides Zara there... I was...very lonely. I.. I am sorry I keep misunderstanding you, but you seem to be under the impression I had like a dozen fiona here to learn from, wiped the dust from my feet, fliped RV off. .and partied non stop until someone pinned a Lion on me. then, having become a noble, We now have nothing in common? I mean.."

"No! Siv, you're totally twisting my words! Where the hell is this coming from, anyway?!"

"I'm not trying to , Honest. I just.. " She says and shrugs "Where it's coming from is how you cheered me on with the others, and I'm grateful, showed up to the party and all that. Thank you for that. Then I come back and you act like I'm someone you must tolerate rather than embrace. Maybe I've gotten it all wrong and that's why I'm asking. I just... I DO consider you a friend, a cousin in fact, and... I don't want to lose that"
