"Hmmm...you and I have somewhat different approaches, but I appreciate your efforts and your goal."

"Need help with healing? Or are you good?"

"I hoped you would.. approve that is," She says and then then says "Won't lie. You want to hit me with a heatherbalm, that and the change of clothes will let me set things up for another pat of my journey. Need dross?"

"No, I'm fine." She sets down the laundry, rubs her hands together, then mimes 'sewing' Siv's body, moving from wound to wound...then she gestures as if giving the thread a good tug...and the glamour sinks into her flesh with an almost audible shwoop.

"Okay, was that supposed to give me a little swat at the last bit there?" She rubs at the now perfectly smooth skin

"Maybe a little. A small price to pay for recklessness, right? Now...can you give me any details on this particular escapade?"

"Not as much as I'd like to" she admits "Somethings are done in trust and I risk violating that trust as it is. A ..scavenger hunt of sort for young lovers"

"Hmm...'help me prove my love, I must find such-and-such a thing to please him-or-her?' If so, be very careful you don't get manipulated for somebody's less sincere purposes."

Siv looks a bit hurt "No, more like they get to hunt and adventure together. Really, don't you think you taught me better than that?"

She grins and puts up her hands. "Sorry, sorry! You're still new, can't blame your anxious old aunty for being cautious." A wink.

"Hardly old" she says "hope I look that good at grumpdom" And she means it "Anxious? Yes. But.." A smile "If it all goes to hell I'll come to you looking very sad and ask for help then, fair?"

"Oh, goody." She gives Siv a wry look. "Well, I hope it goes a good deal better than that. Will you tell me what you can when it's all said and done?"

"It'll probably frustratingly obscure" She admits "Like I said, I can't violate some trusts. But I'll tell what I can"

"Best I could ask for." She hefts the laundry basket again and resumes the laundry distribution.

"Thanks again" Siv says and darts into change.

Olgar grumbles a bit

Not TO anyone, just in general.

as he heads to get a beer

Kerri, fixing a large bowl of salad, looks over. "You're making that noise, dear."

"Sorry babe. Found out I dropped the ball in trod activity.. don't know the full story but stuff is going on near Dark gate.." He fishes the can out and opens it

"How are things homeguard?" He says

"Darkgate?" He has her full attention. "Is it dangerous? Is Sylvi there?"

"She's not, and more like a trod opened near their turf... it's being handled" A sour look "By a bunch of young bucks" A drink

Her concern eases a bit and she goes to him, a hand on his shoulder. "You have to let the young bucks get their scars sometime, honey."

"Mmph" A grumble nod this time "I know, just I used to be the first on the crash site . Now I'm getting messages from kids I got scars older than"

She sighs. "Yes. Meanwhile, I'm getting 'class reunion' invitations."

"Huh?" He blinks "Okay. You have my attention ."

She reaches over to a paper and a scroll on the counter, offering him the scroll to read first. To assist him, she claims his beer and takes a sip.

He reads it, then snorts "Candy is treating you like an alum?"

"Mm. Kerri the Clumsy makes good in the world, news at eleven."

A brow "I can attest that your touch is quite deft"

"Thanks, that's sweet." She gives him back his beer and re-rolls the scroll. "I'm just working out the wording of my decline response."

He takes it and swigs "Tell them you'd love to go but 'Fill in name of any other group/event/organization in the world' is more worthy of your time"

"That's basically what Siv said. But these courts are all like a network, and if they feel insulted, I'll eventually hear about it.

"And you're worried that hurts Rivervale?" A frown

"Of course. If Sylvi or Nadeen or anybody needs to make connections there for some reason, I wouldn't want to be the sour note hanging in the air around them."

"I think they'd understand, but.. is there some way to praise some of the courts you DID like? " A snap of his fingers "Or tell them that you'd LOVE to pay respects to the Candide Barony but are busy? Spell their name wrong but otherwise be polite?"

She gives him a bemused look. "You really want me to dis them."

"Call it an unseelie urge, or a husband's pettiness. But if you want to take the high road? Remember the name of the person who listened to you there, the one good person, I'm assuming there was one, who didn't mock, belittle, or make you feel like shit and actually helped you hold on or even gave you the out. Send a netural decline back, then praise that person. Send a message in the message thanking that person for everything. Evden if theyr'e not at Candy anymore, it might drive the message to Candy THAT person is who they should have been like"

She blinks and gets a distant look...then a nod. "I...think I see what you mean. I can work with that..." she trails off a moment.

"Good" he sips the beer "And later, if you want, we'll sit on the couch and you can tell me about that person. I get the feeling I owe them a thanks for helping you be the you you are."

She gives a half-grin, still preoccupied with the notion....then blinks. "Oh! Something else I wanted to mention to you...." And she offers over the other paper. "We've been invited for a weekend away. By a baroness I've never met."

"Oh?" he looks it over "Huh.. we get yo ua couple of new squires and I might get some decent vacation time. Fine by me."

He finishes his drink

"You...don't think it's some devious plot, do you?"

"I'll learn about the trods to the area in case it is?" He offers "But first glance? No. Not sure how you're going to feel being 'Dame Kerri' for the stay but other than that .What happens? We get into trouble before wilders can steal the fun?"

"Well, of these two invitations to noble holds, this one seems to make more sense...kind of. Or at least it seems less tainted by bad memories...." she ends with a grumble.

He gives her the last sip of his beer "here. You earned. " And then a kiss "I am going to take my scarred butt to shower, and bed. If you're there in the next hour, I will be awake and in the mood to give backrubs."
