Siv comes in with mail both mortal and not.

Kerri is replenishing art supplies on the childlings' shelves.

"Hey, Hearth. Got Some goodies"

Siv seems in a good mood. Not unusual. She lays down some magazines, some envelopes, a scroll

"Oh? Goodies I'll take. Bills...well, I'll take those, too. I just won't enjoy it quite as much." She goes to sort through the stack.

First the scroll, which is from....?

Her smile fades abruptly.

"Everything okay?" Siv says noting the shift

"Fine." She takes a working blade from her belt and quickly snaps the seal open and unrolls the scroll.

Greetings Dame Kerri, blah blah blah.. much respect blah blah blah... it's a invite to a Reunion of folks who were fostered there? Praising her success as a knight and Steward

As she glances over, this is like some weird 20 year High School reunion, but with fosters for the hold.

An invitation, with a lot of glowing assurances how proud they are to have her as a success story

"Oh, for the love of...." She slaps the scroll on the table with exasperation.

She looks at it another moment, then shoves it aside, and instead starts going through the envelopes and magazines, sorting each to its intended recipient.

Siv moves over "Ah.. I'm not Eiluned but you'll excuse me if I get a bit curious?"

Cavalier Quarterly ! Dagmar will love that. Trucks and Trails for the Mountain. A magazine on natural beauty and state parks.

"Oh...it's just a thing at the Candy Court. It's silly."

She gestures Siv to the scroll, indicating that she can read it for herself.

Mmm thanks from a charity Kerri's been helping. And a more chimerical envelope with formal writing with the symbol of House Daireann, addressed to Kerri as well. Bills happen.

A curious look at the chimerical envelope. "Daireann. That's...unusual." She opens it.

While she reads that Siv reads the scroll "huh"

Kerri nods as she reads. So far, so good.

the note continues, and invitation clarifies . Apparently there's a hold in Vermont, Daireann ruled. They offer to treat Kerri and her family with luxury and warm welcome. ...while most of us call ouserlves Unseelie, it is not an exact fit, and enough of us are seelie that we feel a debt or at least enough of one that we would offer you to , for once, be the reciever of grand hospitlaity. A surprised blink. "Oh! Well...hmmm." She looks puzzled.

"But you hated the Candy Barony" Siv blurts finishing the scroll

"I didn't enjoy my time there. Hate is...perhaps too strong a word. Perhaps."

"Siv, what's the date on that invitation?"

"Looks like the last weekend of August. Plenty of Time."

She checks the Daireann invitation to see if there is a suggested time.

It seems an open invitation, most generous

A sigh...and she folds the paper away and slips it back into its envelope. I'll have to discuss this with Olgar and Sylvi. The family is invited, after all.

"I just can't imagine that there'd be much use in me going, Siv," she says, indicating the scroll.

Siv frowns "Well, tehy're acting like you're a rock star. Which you are, but I didn't think others KNEW that"

"They don't. I'm sure of it. Look...they're praising me for being a 'knight and steward'...but they have no clue what it means to be Hearth."

"Oh for the love of... Okay, so really sidhe centric this place?"

"Very."

"No reason to accept it then, write a letter that says Hearth Kerri says no thank you." A pause "Though, you could show up and let them know what you thought of them. "

"Well, there's not much sense in completely burning bridges. They're close by, and it's entirely likely that the Chieftain will need to work with them at some point."

She takes the scroll back and rolls it up tightly.

"You mean you have to be nice? Ugh" Siv sighs "Glad I'm not a Hearth"

A skeptical look. "Are you sassing me, Captain Thing?"

"With love, Auntie Hearth, with Love" Siv says ,some of that Fiona fearlessness has sunk in.

"Hmph." Fondly.

"It's just.. .if you're going to be miserable going, surely you can make an excuse not to go? Bad enough we've got folks stressing over Silverwolf"

"That's certainly what I plan to do...but I have to do it carefully." Then a look. "No new word from SilverWolf, right?"

"Not that I know of" Siv says "Truth to tell, I feel a joanie come lately on that. I know I don't like Calanthe. And I know she turns the most amazing shade of green after the third loop de loop in a flying longship" smug

Kerri smirks at that. "She earned that. She keeps trying to get to Connor, and I don't at all trust her motivations to be healthy."

"Yeah, it's her going after Connor that's got everyonee riled. I've sone some spy work. Calanthe is faker than a three dollar bill" Siv says "I would love to snoop around Silver Wolf but I get the feeling Nadeen would have a fit."
