Siv actually does laugh at that, "Okay okay," A curious look, "Nadeen? Does it ever get.. hard being the only sidhe here at the lodge? I mean, there's Brogan but he's just a kid"

Nadeen shrugs elegantly

Siv raises a brow and says "That.." Elegant shrug, or a mimicry of it " Is not an answer"

"isn't it?" Nadeen says "It is what it is."

Siv makes a face, and noting Dagmar has got quiet, gives her a look

(And we'll get to that back to that later if need be)

Siv's celebration is in the past, and now, several days later, Chieftain Brekke tensely awaits visitors.

Oak looks confused. Why did he have to have a bath again? What did he do wrong? was he bad?

Nadeen whispers to Oak "Don't embarrass us"

Brekke, in her court tabard, gives Oak a sympathetic look.

Dagmar is out brushing the horses. Again.

She clears her throat. "Baroness Nadeen...Oak will not prove an embarrassment."

Nadeen actually blushes "Yes, Chieftain"

It is a small grouping that exits the trod and heads to meet them - The Baron on his black and silver steed, his knight on her slender storm-grey mare, and a commoner leading a fine-looking gelding.

Both nobles are wearing more casual voile on this visit, appropriate to a country ride or light hunting trip. The pooka is wearing a slim-fitting and silk dress of silver touched with sable - a lovely piece that compliments the Knight's outfit, but one may think that a touch of color would better fit to bring out the rich chocolate of the velvety rabbit ears that trail down with her hair.

Bluebell chooses to walk, despite wearing delicately embroidered slippers, leading her horse with it's panniers and packs. Notably, no guards accompany them on this, clearly social, visit.

Olgar the Rover escorts the guests from the trod. He's wearing a Rivervale Tabard to look more 'formal' but his ugly mug wins no prizes

Frank, dressed in his more formal voile, is there but in the background.

Kerri has prepared food suitable for noble visitors of the sidhe variety.

Connor is with his knight, as is fitting, fidgeting between wanting to help with the horses but also not get hay all over the tabard that he is VERY proud of.

Brekke stands outside the Lodge, and Sylvi is there too, but not wearing her emissary sash as Nadeen is the liaison in this case.

Following after the Rover, the Baron swings off his horse, giving him a pat on the nose, and keeping a light hand on the reins.

Calanthe slides off her horse as well, and tosses the reins towards Bluebell, who, seeing her start to dismount, hurried to be on hand to take then. Moving over, the pooka murmurs to the Baron, and is handed the reins to his horse as well - as Calanthe moves up to take position on his right-hand side.

Aiden turns and bows, first to the Chief, then to Nadeen. "Chieftess, Baroness. While your invitation was unexpected, it was not unwelcome. Thank you for having us. I had not expected such a formal welcome. ...I have been looking forward to seeing the new foal."

Calanthe smoothly adds, as though finishing a sentence, "...As have I, and to visit our dear young Connor."

Aiden does not remark on this.

Brekke returns the bow. "Baron Aiden, I am pleased that you and your party have accepted our invitation." She makes introductions of the group, using noble titles where they apply.

Nadeen beams, her outfit is actually a good blend of elegant but also ready to ride or hunt if need be.

Dagmar straightens Connor's tabard... and then rumples his ears/hair. "You're going to help with their horses, like we practiced."

They may feel the presence of House Beaumany somewhere

Nadeen says "Baron, with the Chieftain here herself, my role in this is somewhat dimmed, so I hope you forgive me a more relaxed air at times."

Aiden pleasantly greets each of the folk he has not yet met. Calanthe is more the butterfly, flitting to Nadeen's side and offering her a Knight-to-Baroness bow, handclasp and noble kiss, the kind that just barely brushes the air above one's cheeks without mussing makeup.

Brekke calls to the stables, "Dame Dagmar, Squire Connor, will you come and assist the Baron's...squire?..." Not certain of Bluebell's title "...and bring the horses to the paddock?"

Nadeen returns it expertly

Spark is VERY CURIOUS about new horses and new people!

"Okay Connor, you're up." Dagmar follows her squire out.

"Ah, I have not taken another squire. Not since the last proved... unacceptable." A nod of his head to the Chief, and minor frown as he remembers his last visit with Squire. "Bluebell is one of the flowers of our court, without title, but not without value." A small, fond smile.

Gerd watches from the kitchen window, or living room window. Knowing if she's out there she might be too protective for now

"A blossom yet unbloomed, yet nightly pluck'd, though tossed upon such fertile soil, I cannot help but land on my feet..." Bluebell gives a looooow dip and curtsey to the Rivervalers, arms outstretched as she sinks to a pose only a talented ballet dancer can do without wincing.

An interested look from Brekke and a nod. "I see. Welcome, Bluebell."

Connor and Dagmar do a little dance, as she tries to follow him and he tries to trot behind her, but they both make it!

"You have met Dame Dagmar, and of course Squire Connor." Brekke lets Connor have his moment of showing off his tabard and his responsibility.

"Baron, Dame." A nod to the two Ailil. "Bluebell." To the pook.

Bluebell gathers the reins of the horses and leads them to the stables - a petite figure, yet the large beasts follow her tamely, speaking to their training. A smile to Dagmar and Connor.

"Come...we will go to the stables. Bluebell, Dagmar and Connor can help...." Indicating the numerous reins in her hands.

Nadeen nods "I hope the trods were a smooth passage?"

Aiden's gaze follows Bluebell... or perhaps the horses - or looking ahead towards the stables, and seems a bit relieved when they head that way. "As smooth as one could hope for. Dame Dagmar, you look well, as does your squire. How does being a knight master suit you thus far? I was disappointed to miss you at Midsummer."

Brekke looks back to Frank a moment, then starts in the direction of the stables. At the same time, Sylvi slips back inside the Lodge, apparently to help the Hearth.

Connor's tail wags as he takes his share of the reins - almost tripping into the horse as he tries to look around and lead at the same time.

And he sniffs the air, curious, and tries to hide his curiousity at what might be in the horse's packs. One carrier is obviously a hunting hawk, as Dagmar recognizes!

"I am sad I couldn't get to see your beasts, but I had to go to Bergen." She nods. "I am learning how to be a master, I guess. But Connor is a good squire, he works hard and learns quickly."

"We have heard of your hounds and raptors. Baroness Nadeen is quite impressed."

"I help with the horses, and cleaning duty." Connor adds, a touch shy, but bolstered by Dagmar's praise. And he spots a stone and steps around it, avoiding tripping as he tries to take in too many things at once.

Brekke clears her throat, glancing at Connor.
