Nadeen's blade swings with calculated expertise. with every pass, she gains greater accuracy. Alas, it's not helping as much as she hoped.

Siv's rapier parries her again, and then she side steps Nadeen's next blow.

"You've improved," Siv says

Nadeen says "I must admit, Dagmar humors me. Your styles are ..." Another thrust "Very different."

"So is Dagmar coming by?" Another parry.

"I sent her a text to let her know I was sparring today, so I hope so," Nadeen says

Siv takes the offensive, with reckless abandon. Nadeen is overmatched, and yet, to the sidhe's frustration, Siv is STILL a talker. "Your eyes light up when you talk about Dags, did you know that?"

Nadeen looks irked, and slashes, "I see the Fiona haven't taught you tact."

"It's not something to be ashamed of, Nadeen," Siv says, wearing the sidhe down "I'm glad for ye both."

"It's how casually you.. talk about it," Nadeen says, frustrated, "She's shy. I am reserved. MUST You look as if our relationship were some tawdry reality show?"

"My apologies," Siv says as they clash back and forth, "But it would be less of a show if you two made less of a fuss about it. You care for her, she cares for you. IT's a good thing! A happy thing. Why should I not be glad for my cousin's happiness? HEll, some days I even like you"

"joy" Nadeen says dryly

Siv switches weapon hands, "Let's even it up," And fights with her off hand. It's probably meant as a favor. Instead it changes the pattern and throws Nadeen off to square one.

Barking, as someone approaches the ring.

"I don't ask about you and Jonas," Nadeen points out, as she takes a gable of a lunge.

Siv grins, and disarms Nadeen with a quick flick, "SO glad you asked. He's an incredible lover. You want the where's or the hows?"

Nadeen looks at her empty hand and glances towards the sound of the barks, "I think I'd like my girlfriend to kick your butt. I'm petty like that"

Brown Dog, excited, sprints ahead, all a-wag.

"Hey, Brownie" Siv grins

"Jeez, Dog, like you haven't seen her in months.. hey guys." Dag smiles. Oak is at her side, more restrained than the earnest mutt.

Nadeen is picking up her sword, "Dagmar, Siv has bested me in battle and been smug about it. Smite her."

"Wow, you are Petty" Siv says to nadeen, but is now petting Brown dog

"Smiting, before lunch?"

"It's a healthy way to start your day," Nadeen says earnestly. "Well, maybe not healthy for Siv"

"No kidding," Siv smiles "I swear , Dagmar, when I saw you at the Housing my thought was 'is it me, or did she grow 'another' inch?"

"I'm shorter than the Chief. By a fair bit."

Siv scratches the dog's chest "Yeah, but at this rate.. you might catch up to her," A smile "And Nadeen maybe fussy, but she's actually doing pretty well. Says you've sparred with her?"

Nadeen says "I have perfect form, then she hits and my form is still perfect, just on the ground"

"Yeah, she's helping me learn swordwork - can't only use Flyswatter, y'know?"

"And she's fast."

Nadeen says "It would appear I met my match in speed. Sure you don't want to smite her? Isn't there some Fiona Gwydion rivalry I get to enjoy?"

Siv snerks, then says "Okay. Dagmar, is it me, or has Nadeen gotten a sense of humor since I left?"

"She's always had one."

"But maybe you just see it now, Lady Siv."

"Lady Captain, thank you" Siv says loftily, then winks "Or just Siv is fine"

"I'm not sure what a Lady Captain is, but I'm pretty sure I outrank it," Nadeen says

Siv sticks her tongue out at the baroness

"I prefer Dame."

"Lady sounds so... dainty..."

" I always thought Dame sounded like a pulp novel" Siv says "Like those old black and white detective shows. 'Into my life walked a leggy dame'"

Nadeen rolls her eyes, "Dame is a perfectly good word. It denotes feminine toughness"

"You could do 'Sir' and have that sweet, sweet alliteration."

"Nah," Siv says "Part of it's respect to the Baroness Coradel. She knew I was proud of my nautical nature, so gave me Lady Captain for my Knighthood, so Lady Captain it is, though Lady or Captain is fine ...and just Siv regular and all. " Siv has reduced brown dog to a quivering furry lump of belly rub happiness

Siv asks "Oh, how's Symon?"

"creepy" Nadeen says, which for her is polite, as he IS a sluagh

"You get his card?" Grin.

"He didn't want to go to the party - I mean, it was loud and crowded."

"I can't blame him. I'm still delighted Zara stayed as long as she did" Happy smile "Gonna miss her." Then "And I do need to Thank Symon for the Card" she chuckles "Even if he made it sound like I'd been suckered into a timeshare"
