(After the party)

Sylvi might not have wanted it to end! She was dazzling! Even in a place with plenty of sidhe she stood out! She had made contacts, and learned more. Her hang ups about the nobles gone, she found new avenues. What really surprised her was how many changeling girls knew about her social media videos on make up and other beauty tips!

Colton was dashing in his outfit, and she monopolized him on the dance floor when she wasn't queen beeing in the crowds.

She is quite happily tired as she returns to the Lodge, Colton escorting her. "That was wonderful!" she smiles as they arrive back at Rivervale.

Colton says "I don't know how you kept up with it all, I don't think I can remember half of the names we were introduced too"

But he smiles

"I take notes," she admits, pulling her phone from her clutch bag and waving it at him. "I'll step away to 'powder my nose' or whatever, and then quickly write down what I just learned and review what I learned earlier. I try to meet people at least twice at an event, so I get in their minds as much as they get in mine."

"Diabolical" he says but with admiration, then regretfully "wish I could say longer, but the Fortress needs me"

"I know," she says, pride mixed in with regret. "You have work to do." She squeezes his hand.

A nod from him "Sorry." A look at her in that dress, "You have no idea how sorry"

From the rafters above comes a limb from the shadows, dangling with creepy toes so that is only JUST brushes against of the back of Sylvi's shoulder.

She starts to preen under his gaze, but then YELPS! as that creepy cold flesh touches her shoulder. A swat, a jump aside and she's glaring at the whatever it was that just touched her.

Soft raspy snickers from above.

Colton can't help it, he steps forward to protect her, one arm still about Sylvi then "not funny" at the snickers

"Good party?" He whispers.

Sylvi glares up into the darkness and POUTS...but she does like Colton's arm around her.

Then a sigh. Can't blame Symon for being...Symon. "It was excellent. But loud. Be glad you stayed here."

"Yeah, and what better chance to sneak through the cracks, paw through your secrets, stop the bread from rising and sour the milk pails?"

"Big crowd. Some Fiona from all over Concordia." Colton says then a roll of his eyes "I don't think they have cows here "

"All quiet around here. Nice and boring like I like it."

"Well...good. Oh! You should know...Siv's not just Fiona. She got knighted, too. She's now 'Lady Captain' according to Baroness Coradel."

A barely audible snort. "Nothing by half measures, I guess. Now is she off to find a barony of her own? Or will she one-up her sister and seek a Ducal appointment?"

"Geez, can you imagine? No, I think she's talked more about living here as a home base, but living the pirate life, otherwise."

A snicker "Rule by Siv, that's..vaguely terrifying. Pardon me for saying so"

"I mean, it might be really interesting, but in that kind of ancient-curse sort of way."

Soft snickering from above. "Any other stuff I missed? What's the hot goss?" Oh, the slang sounds weird from him.

"Ew. You don't ever need to say that again." Sylvi thinks. "Welllll..." She looks from one to the other. "I'm not sure, but I think Piper...." She stops. "No, I shouldn't say. It's nothing bad. Forget I said anything."

A smirk at hot goss, Colton ponders "Some of the Fiona who showed up surprised me. Like they werent who I'd expect to show up normally even for a Housing somoene."

"Like who?" Sylvi asks.

"Piper?" He is now interested, more by her negation than actually the mention of her. "She's got some secrets... but it hasn't been anything that I found interesting enough to watch her... canoodling... to find out more." A dismissive sniff.

"Grand Dame Bondraste, she's .. very old. " Colton says, "Sat on a chair through most of the party and folks walked by and tipped their hats, but odd pick to have a grump that old show up huh?"

"Oh, yes! I spoke with her briefly, fetched her a drink."

"Yes. My point is, why is she there? "

"She's not a regular visitor? Hm. That sounds like...like this thing with Siv got more attention than the average Oathing."

"At that age, maybe any excuse to hit a balefire." He whispers thoughtfully.

"Point" he concedes

"Odd to see grumps that old at all." Straightforward. "Most are off in a home and waiting for a new ride."

Colton shivers at the notion "I think I'll be good if I die fighting at age 59... well, with my mortal body looking 59'

The notion clearly makes Sylvi uncomfortable.

"That is not dead which can eternal lie. And with strange aeons even death may die..." He hisses, with a hint of amusement as he lowers down from the rafters, dropping onto the table with a soft thud.

"Who are you quoting?"

"Okay... get the creepy over with already. Anyway, that was the one bit of hot go.. you know I can't even... the one thing that really stuck out at me. But understand we probably missed a lot on the edges. Miss Zara was there. She probably could tell things over tea?"

"Lovecraft." And a pair of green eyes appear as the feline arches her back in a stretch, backlit by the balefire. "No, not you."

"Oh, right! I always like seeing her."

He looks amused at Colton telling him to get the creepy over with. "Was Zane there?" Curiously.

"Yeah, with a kinian of ..well ,she was a sidhe blood, but her skin was odd..vitaligo? Is that what's it's called?"

"You mean...kind of splotchy?"

"Yes. I mean, she was gorgeous so it was more odd than off putting"

"Piebald? Yeah, sidhe blood will overcome most things." Rather dryly.

"Kind of an exotic effect, yeah." Her voice trails off in thought.
