Sylvi winces too. "Oh, Torin!" Now with impatience. "That's absolutely never the right thing to say." An exasperated huff, then she takes a moment. "Okay...okay...so...we need to find her and get her back over there to help fix this."

"..she said something about free herbs to the farm for a year... I told her they probably grow their own" He mutters

A blink. "Oh! Her garden plot! Come on, Kourtney. And Torin, I'm sure that we can fix this and maybe even get you two back together again, but don't ever tell her she's being silly. Unless she asks you to," she adds, then hurries off. "C'mon, Kourtney!"

"Okay..." Torin says brows knitting as he tries to figure out WHY he... but the girls are gone

They find Myrttle Anne working at her Garden plot. And the serenity she normally gets from her work is not coming to her now

Sylvi hurries to Myrttle Anne's garden. "Myrttle Anne!"

"Sylvi?" The boggan stands "Kourtney? WHat's.. oh no, has Hearth Agnes worsened?"

"No, no, that's not it. She's getting good care. But MyrttleAnne, the Farm's going crazy. We need you."

"Need me? My big mouth is the one who caused it. " A sigh

"And that's what needs to fix it. Look, everybody thinks that SallyMae is just being used by Carowyn. Do you think that's what their relationship is?"

"What? " She sputters "Why he's as gentle with a lamb with her... she could play him like a fiddle if she wanted to. But she seems to have matured past that"

"Then that's the part that the other DeBukes don't know, and they won't hear it from her. They have to hear it from somebody who's good at understanding relationships." A gesture of ta-da! towards MyrttleAnne.

"Oh that's just silly" Myrttle Anne says

"Maybe, but she aint' wrong" Kourtney says "I know it sounds wrong to try to fight bigotry by playing up your gifts soley as a boggan but...it's all we got and you can't just make other boggans so.."

"you two really think they'd listen to me?" Myrttle Anne says surprised "That tthye'd put that much stock in it?"

"I'm not sure, but it's worth a try? Please? We've got to try something."

Puppy eyes and all.

"Oh girls don't.. now I'm not in a good place myself and I don't claim powers of persuasion, Anne Marie has always been better with people" She says

"Then get her to come with you, she's seen them too, but you have to be there, Please Miss Myrtle Anne" Kourtney joins in with her own pleading puppy look

"Anne Marie would totally be able to help! Please!"

"We need your help."

"Fine, fine. I guess I'm not doing any good moping here" A sigh

"Good! Come on, let's hurry...." and she leads the way back to the bridge. "And I know what Torin said, and I'm gonna get him to apologize to you, one way or another."

At that the woman sighs "Oh , Torin.. I know he was just trying to .. but I got so mad I lost my... oh girls I'm sorry, I'm not a very good role model for a mature woman right now" But she is dragged along

"You're just fine. You're, uh, showing us how a mature woman comes back and fixes things after they've gone bad!" Cheerleader tone only slightly undermined by urgency.

"Okay, you're over selling. I'm already helping, don't gild the lily so hard it falls on it's face" She says

Kourtney says "Sorry, we just want you happy AND helping us"

"Sweet and honest," Myrttle Anne says as they get to the foot bridge

Sylvi looks over to Kourtney and mouths thank you as they head over the footbridge.

Kourtney nods 'Thank you' back goes her mouth . She wouldn't have had the nerve to try for this alone.

And they cross the foot bridge (To the Farm)
