"Please, girl? It will help." COaxing.

"Okay" Clem says at the horse

At the coaxing, Star crunches, but without her usual gusto. A ripple on her side. The foal is active.

"Shhh. I know, I know..."

Kerri comes down from the Lodge, and Sylvi is at her side, Connor probably right with them. Kerri is carrying a large bowl, Sylvi carrying a large stack of clean towels.

The more of the apple she munches, the calmer Star feels.

"It's time?" Sylvi says with a smile.

Pet, pet, pet.

"There we go..." As the glamour takes effect.

"Kourtney, here, take these," Kerri offers the towels.

"Yes, Hearth" And she does and is laying out things just so

Clem moves in as Star looks ready to drop her head asleep and ... "Okay, Dagmar, I'm changing this patch into nature's vet table, okay? You help me position her just like Kourtney was saying .. Kourtney? Ready?"

"Shhhh." Dagmar rests her head against Star's neck.

Star's eyes droop, but she keeps them on Dagmar. A soft nicker, and she lowers to her side, exhaling as the weight is taken off.

Nadeen tells Sylvi "Yes. Oh, Connor. Take a look at this. "She hands him a copy of the scroll

Connor is keeping his distance, but fretting. "It's not story time now..."

Dagmar kneels beside the mare's head, still encouraging.

The mare's head finally rests in Dagmar's lap, and she relaxes.

"Point" Nadeen conceds

Sylvi bites her lip, watching from outside the fence.

Clem says "Now, Kourtney, Dagmar, we position her so..." And she adds "Kourtney, can you guess while i'm not using body changing magics?"

Kourtney says "Kenning the foal showed strong glamour, could just be a strong bloodline, but we dont' want to risk a bending of the foal's own young and still unrevealed body"

Connor whispers to Nadeen and Sylvi, "What are they doing? Why is Star sleeping?"

Dagmar keeps uttering comforting nonsense to the horse.

"Now, healing magic is restoration to proper body form so t his should work"

Sylvi murmurs to Connor, "They may have to have an operation. Connor, it might be scary to watch...do you want to turn away?"

He whispers back, "Is it bad to be a squire that can't help? I can't help. How is it I can't help?"

Star is breathing slow and deep now.

"Shhhh."

A veil of green rises, plant life, a circle to obssure the crowd just a bit more

"Cool" Jack says "Spring magics.. they're surrounding her, right Sylvi?"

Kerri puts a hand on Connor's shoulder. "We all want to help. The best help we can do is stay back."

And she nods to Jack. "It'll make her feel safer."

Dagmar observes as while the .. knife is ready,, Clem smiles as it turns out not to be so needed .. a mix of spring energies to energize the body while the mind calms from the fuddling... seems to set the mare in a dream like daze

"Hey we can do this... good good.. If we can avoid the tearing..."

Soft singing. Dagmar is not Tove, no great voice.. but... "Blacks and Bays,
dapples and grays,
Coach and six a little horses.
Hush-a-by, Don't you cry,
just don't fret, my little baby."

Clem mutters soft and low.

And the song fills the day dreaming mare's mind, easing her. Star knows this voice. She trusts.

And somewhere, another life hears the first clear sound besides a mother's heart beat

"Continue singing, Dagmar," Brekke quietly encourages.

"Hush you bye, Don't you cry,
Go to sleepy, little baby.
when you wake,
You shall have,
all the pretty little horses."

Star is not quite awake, not quite asleep - a dreamlike state that is rather fitting. She knows, instinctively, what to do, if her body - if the foal, will just cooperate, and her muscles ripple as she pushes.

"okay , yes we've got ...something... interesitng" CLem feels in reaching..

Brekke sees another problem...

Stormwake is looking like he's going out of his clover chewing mind, pacing nearby, stomping... ready to LEAP or crash through all barriers

Alert, watching...and she goes to the stallion. "Enough. Stand down." She steps between him and Star, her hand on his neck. "Trust." Firm, not angry.

Star gives a low sound, more than a sigh, almost a groan, with effort.

Stormwake is equine, but he is a solider. He obeys.

But this better be okay.

"Oh sweet creator what is this?" Clem's voice can be heard to say
