Picture time!

A dozen snaps of the happy family!

Stormwake even looks smug in the picture!

Star raises her head to look towards Dagmar when the troll calls her name, and - well, she might not know a camera, but she ALWAYS looks her best. Even mussed from effort.

"oh my goodness, he's self satisfaction incarnate in equine form"

Some of all three, some of just the foal, some of just Star. Oh, Cavaliers of Concordia will LOVE this!

"Nadeen, when you take the knife back - you think you could take one picture to Dolph the Boggan?"

"Do you want any pictures with you in it?" Symon offers.

"Oh.. huh..." She counts prints.

"I can get ONE."

"You think that's wise? " Then "Oh, but he was the one who alerted you didn't he?"

"Just one, huh."

She nods. "He cares for the horses. And yeah, just one - if you take too many you break it. It'll need a rest."

He reaches for the camera.

And jerks his chin at Nadeen, gesturing for her to get in the shot.

"I... well, very well" She gets into the shot at Dagmar's side.

A slight surprised noise. And... pose!

He lines up the shot - tempted for a moment to cut off Nadeen's head - heh heh heh, but nah. He snaps fingers with a free hand to catch attention of the horses, and... Click!

Nadeen can't help but look ravishing

Dagmar has a goofy grin.

He notices. And is disgusted. But he frames a nice shot.

"So you gonna tell me what all this Ailil business is about? Or do I have to keep hearing it third hand from what Lilly snoops?" And he leans against the fence, ready to chat for a while if they are.

Nadeen sighs

"Oh, I'll catch you all up, for sure."

"Doesn't have to be now. Just next time you're horse crazy, check your phone so I don't think you fell in a black hole." Indeed, she'll see a series of missed texts. The last one, "U ded? I'm coming over to claim the corpse."

"Ohhh... shit, yeah."

"Remember, your Squire owes me anything dead he finds in these woods. That includes you."

"Hey, Piper tell you about the party thing? I suspect it ian't your scene, but you shoul know..."

Snerk.

"Zane sent a text. Eh. Sounds loud." Noncommittal.

"Yeah, probably? We'll just have to hand out some other time."

"I might go. Things like this sometimes turn interesting - just don't expect to see me there, y'know?"

"It will be loud so..wear earplugs perhaps" Nadeen says looking away

"Like, if another shark shows up, there's plenty of rubes to fight it and I could get more leather for Snagglefeather's saddle."

"Totally get it."

He raises a brow, but... doesn't give a reply, just letting that one go by. Without a snarky response. Progress...

"Okay, Sillyfeets... let's get you into the stable to rest." Dag turns to tend the horses.

"Yeah, I'll catch y'all later." Clearly meaning Dagmar and the horses, of course.

Nadeen says "I have to get back to the browns. Congratulations, Star- A beautiful offspring"

"Night guys!"

Star leads her new foal into the loosebox with little prompting - tomorrow is soon enough for the colt to see the sun and play.

A handwave from Symon, out of earshot already, and he disappears into the night.

(...and then keeps walking down the path. Appearances are important.)

Connor is tucked in with a blanket, horses are given straw... and Dagmar heads home.

Connor will be picked up later... by a Gerd.
