and he whispers to Siv, not all that quiet, "It's a good thing I didn't try that on Star, or she'd have a HORSE-RADISH."

Siv snorts

"Ohhhh, you have been seeing too much Vali..."

and chuckles "Okay, setting you down now" And she does with a kiss on his forehead, "Thank you bold squire for bestowing upon me the hugs of welcome"

"I am the Boldest Bestower. Did you see Star yet? She's SO BIG." He holds out his arms to demonstrate. "And the garden is growing, even the Jelly-Bean-Tree that Jack and I planted. But the flowers all miss you and they wouldn't smile up at the sun until you came home. But if you look at them now, you'll see they are pointed back up again."

"The Fiona better get on it."

"Be like - oh yes, Siv IS brave and bold, we should recognize her!"

"I'll have to see EVERYTHING but first.. I must go see my dad" Siv says "You three have fun"

Jonas raises a brow

"No Jonas, I 'll be fine" She assures him

He nods

"Go see your dad, I'm sure he'll be glad to see you home and safe."

"Go see him, when he sees you he goes from... " Connor makes a glowery Frankenstein Face...

"To this!" And the same face, but a finger pushes up the side of one corner of his mouth.

"See, practically a different person." He nods.

"His beard moves and EVERYTHING" Sivs says, but her smile is a bit more forced. Screwing up her courage she nods and heads out.

Jonas watches her go

Connor watches Jonas for a moment, then moves over to give him a hug, too. "You looked like you needed one."

"Why is she worried?"

Jonas says "She made some hard choices he may not concur with"

"But he's her DA." Connor responds, and nods. "He will understand. Right?" And he looks to Dagmar for reassurance.

"Well... he's Frank. And he loves her."

"So he will."

Connor listens with his head to one side, ears pricked. Then nods, decisively. "If my Knight says it, it must be so."

Then he glances back over at Dagmar, and says to the air, "Maybe my Knight says that there are pork chops for dinner, to celebrate Siv coming home. Because Pork chops are her favorite, from all the sea-pigs in the dreaming."

"And here I thought it was Peanut Brittle" Jonas observes

"I don't know if it'll be pork chops..."

"Maybe Seanut brittle?"

"That doesn't sound very tasty..."

"Cockles and mussles, alive, alive o?"

He flexes a scrawny arm and sighs. "I don't have muscles OR cockles. Unless that's a flower, then maybe there are some in the garden?"

"I don't really like mussels..."

"Well, you have plenty." A sniff. "You could give some to me, then I'd be the one tossing hay bales!"

"Well, you'll have to make your own."

"I'd rather make peanut brittle. Do you know how?"

"Actually, I don't..."

"It's not easy" Jonas says

"Oh. I don't have a squire apron." He suddenly looks concerned. "Dagmar? Where do I get a squire apron? For pennons, so people know I belong to you?"

"I bet Tove knows."

"Oh! A tabard! I.. well, I don't have my own arms... I just wear Rivervale's..."

"You have both arms. And mine?"

"You should have one. And it could have a horse on it, maybe."

"I do like horses..."

"I don't even know how you go about getting one, really."

"My - Lord Aidenn's has so many things. I think he wants to make sure people don't forget. I don't have his to wear though. Maybe because I'm not his squire." He ponders this for a moment. "I'd like to wear yours, if you get one? 'Specially if it's green, I look better in colors then plain' ol' black."

"Green. I can do that. And gold. And blue?"

Jonas says "You would want to talk to your liege, that is, the Chieftain, but it is not uncommon for knights to be allowed heraldric varations"

She nods. "Right..."

"What's a Variation? Is that like a Heraldric Dragon?"

He ponders such a beast.
