"Wish I got a better look.. a threat?" Headwhip

Kerri blinks at her. "She is hiding herself, has not come to the Lodge for assistance...the possibility exists that she's trying to avoid us because she's up to no good. Now, I'm not saying that's the case," she adds, holding up a hand. "I'm just saying, be aware of the possibility."

"She might be unseelie."

"No crime in being unseelie" Gerd says "But something odd about this ... and I. well I dont' regret getting her food" She says helping replace what she took with what she just brought back in.

"Oh, honey, of course not. And let me cover your costs on the replacement groceries, hm?"

"Well, no. But I mean... like, not knowing us, a Gwydion-ruled troll hold doesn't sound the most welcoming."

"Oh no no it's okay... " Gerd says "It's my choice to get her stuff so.. I don't mind paying for it." Gerd says "Sides, I got the money"

A wry grin at Dagmar. "It doesn't exactly say 'Party House,' hmm?"

"Not exactly. I mean, pretty sure old me would be shaking her head at how I am now."

Gerd smiles "I like the new you better anyway. "

Kerri gives a grin. "I like both of you as you are now. I liked you then, too."

She's at the point of shaping pastries and adding jams.

"Yeah, but we were both more of a hassle a year ago." Gerd says "Boy was I a .. unpleasant individual "

Gerd turns "Want help, Hearth?" Regarding the jams

"Yeah, well, we all have stuff in our past we're not proud of."

"Thank god for Kerri, huh? She puts up with all of us."

"We all do, yes," she murmurs. Then, "Well, if you wouldn't mind, Dagmar can manage the raspberry preserves, and Gerd the lemon curd? Oh...I didn't even mean to make that rhyme, sorry."

And she shows them how to shape and prepare the pastries.

"We forgive you the rhyme, we forgive you this time" Straight faced "You know, Dagmar. I got some of Vegard's memories. Would you believe at one time, our Hearth wore tight pants ESPECIALLY when Olgar came around? Was it coincidence? Vegard didn't think so."

"Oh, sure!" She happily falls in line to help.

And yes , she helps with the curd

Her jaw drops. "Hey! Gerd, that's hardly fair!" But she seems more amused than insulted.

And she herself manages the blueberry preserve pastries.

"Sorry, Hearth" Bit of a ping, she's not THAT sorry

Snort-grin.

"Hmm." Kerri's no Gwydion, but she's skeptical of Gerd's sincerity. "Did you know...that when Count Hemlock surprise-knighted me, I was petrified that Vegard was going to hate me for it?"

"Actually..." Gerd closes his eyes "He went off for a long hike and called the Count every name under the book. A few he tells me I STILl don't get to know"

"It must be weird, remembering him so strongly. I wish I could talk to past-Dagmars..."

Kerri gives a curious look. "Gerd...are the memories stronger than they were? It seems like that from here."

"It became stronger after my Toigal. I think in a way he was trying to protect me from my disorder. It's really annoying sometimes though. Dreams that aren't mind when I sleep, unwarranted advice. Comments about what girls are wearing these days." A roll of her eyes

A chuckle. "Oh, that's Vegard." A fond look. "I didn't know about the walk of curses. I do remember...that he was very, very kind about it all."

"Well, you were upset...and felt scared and...." Gerd stops "Huh... he wanted to help you believe in yourself like you help US believe in ourselves. Guess you paid it forward three fold and then some huh?"

She chuckles. "I guess. Remember, I wasn't all that much older than you girls at the time."

"Unpossible" Gerd says "You came fully grown from the kitchen stove like Athena bursting from the skull of Zeus"

That gets a full laugh. "I guarantee you, that is not the case. But I do like the image."

Gerd looks at Dagmar "There are said to be ways if you're really interested... mostly in the dreaming but there are potions and vapors that can give you a boost in contacting the past. Never lasts, which is a good thing probably and they dont' always work. Lots of fakers selling scam 'ethers of the past'"

"I mean, quests are good but you do remember better this side."

"Wonder where those magic cookies are this year?" She ponders

"Oh, those things can stay far, far away from here, thank you."

"You don't find them educational?" Gerd says

"Being a satyr was fun..."

A face of displeasure. "Being a sluagh was...well, yes, perhaps educational, but I'll pass on having another learning experience, thanks."

"Well, that's fair. I don't want to judge but it seems like misery comes easy to them...and everyone must seem SO loud" Gerd says

"What if you wound up, like, an eshu though?"

"Symon as a sidhe.. heart throb" Gerd smiles

A bemused look at Gerd.

"Hey, still a LITTLE goth" She says

"Symon really doesn't look so bad. He just hides."

While Kerri certainly worked faster than the girls, it looks like all the pastries are ready now, and she puts them in the oven as the girls talk.

Gerd ponders "Yeah... well, guys are .. you know girls get a head start then guys start sneaking up on you looks wise"
