((Well, 9:21 on East coast, in that case.)) "Kinda late for patrol for me right now. But want to come over in the morning? I mean...Colton's all busy with other stuff right now, so I'm kind of in the need-to-make-connections boat, too."

"You're one of Rivervale's emmissaries, right?" Thoughtfully.

"Yeah." She doesn't point that she was the first one to hold the title. "Why?"

"Well, I had been thinking. The folk over at the BAR apartments, I'm pretty sure they've all been here at one time or another, and met some of the folk from the lodge, but it still feels somewhat... isolated, from the rest of the barony? I thought - if your folks and the ones in charge thought it was a good idea.. maybe there could be like, some sort of meet and greet type, official welcoming party. It might make folk feel a little more... part of the barony, rather than, people who live in it's boundaries?"

"Well...I know the Chieftain and my mom were kind of hoping that Beltaine would help with some of that, y'know? And I think it was working, but then...well...things got weird." Then a blush. "Cue Sylvi-stripping-to-change-the-subject."

"But yeah, I could and should totally do that. You know them pretty well? You'd be able to introduce me around?"

"It was a subject I'd take again in class, if that helps?" She grins! "That could have been an ice breaker, but nothing REALLY says 'welcome' then just coming out and saying it. I swear, sometimes i think Trolls have a silent code, where you exchange a glance and novels were shared... but most of us shorter folk, we need things said aloud, you know?"

"It's like, that's why what your Chief did on Beltaine - with the titles and all - that really made an impact." A nod.

"And sure... I don't know everyone WELL, but I recognize most of them, at least... and if I'm going to move in, even on a time-share, I should get to know a few better."

"Yeah. I'm glad she did it. I mean...did you see people's faces? Even Symon? I wasn't sure he'd come up when he was called. And Dirk looked like he was about to split with pride."

"Oh, hey, you're moving there? When?"

"Dirk was making this grimace - I thought he was mad. That was a SMILE?"

Sylvi giggles. "Yeah. He smiles a lot these days, but it's still pretty horrifying if you don't know better."

"Uncle Neelie - sorry, Professor Warburton... he has an apartment there he rented to use as study space and an extra guest room. I think he knew that I'd been feeling kinda penned in with the Q-T and all, and said I could stay over there. So... I guess, whenever I get some things moved in?"

"Well, that's the perfect opportunity for me to go over there with you! I'll help you move in, and then it won't be all awkward and stuff that you're introducing me to people. I'll be there for a real reason, you see?"

"And if you happened to want to patrol around there more often, we could hang out?" Trying not to look as eager as she does, but it's a bit reminiscent of... Connor, perhaps.

"After all - it's kinda wild over there I hear. Did you hear that there was a SHARK in the elevator shafts? And the super was just gonna sic their janitor on it! Maybe they didn't know that they could call Rivervale for help..." She shrugs a bit, not quite knowing the whole story.

"I could totally do that." Sylvi nods confidently. "Okay, I'll make that part of my regular patrol, and I'll check in on you, and you can come along with me if you want, and we'll make it a gab fest." She grins.

"Sounds like a plan! Now I gotta go show off my new hairstyle... to the world!" She gives Sylvi an impulsive hug. "And tomorrow, wanna meet me over at the Wayburtons? We can have breakfast. I'll cook eggos."

Sylvi hugs back. "Totally! Buzz me when you're up, okay?" And she watches the freshly shorn satyr trot off down the stairs and out of the Lodge.

She smiles. "Cool!" and heads back to her room to start editing that video.
