A grin. "She won a race today, she can afford a carrot or two."

And she feeds each horse one carrot, and allows Dagmar and Jack each to feed one as well.

"True. But she ALSO had two apples."

Still - yes, Star gets a second carrot.

A pause. "Well...I will pretend that I did not hear that. This time." An eyebrow at Star.

"It's Celebratory... Etsie says the first shot doesn't count if it's celebratory" Jack says. It would appear he has talked a LITTLE to other satyrs

"Hm. I am not sure that is always wise...but I would not argue with Etsie in the field of her authority."

"She'll just have to be good tomorrow."

"Now...Dame, before you decide to become to cautious with her, understand that you may ride her for several months yet. And she will do better with the exercise."

Jack looks as if something makes sense now.

Brekke catches that look. "Jack?"

"If you're sure..."

"I don't want to hurt her."

"Oh.. Some of the older girls were talking about if Jaymes and Tove were still doing grown up couple stuff...even though she's pregnant. Now it makes sense they would still... Tove needs the excercise" He says "It makes sense that way"

Dagmar turns purple and looks mortified.

A blink at Jack. "I think you should know, Jack, that it may embarrass both Jaymes and Tove to know that their 'grown up couple stuff' is being discussed by others. They would wish that to be private."

"I'm... gonna go clean the stables... yeah..."

"Oh," he says "i'm sorry. " He nods (True) "I don't mean to make them feel bad."

"As for hurting her, Dame...I believe she will tell you, but you should study, learn more about the year she has ahead of her." Referring to Star.

Lip-bite, nod.

Jack nods "Don't worry, Dagmar, all the animals know you're a friend who'd never hurt em"

"I believe that she will enjoy the continued rides, and might miss them were they to stop."

"I am sure you did not mean to, Jack. Only be aware of the concern."

"And the Chief loves em almost as much as you do, but she doesn't let on like." Jack says, thencovers his mouth "And i'm talking about people again. " A mumble through his hands "I'll work on it"

And the boy nods and scootches away "Going inside to get your coffee and not say nuuuthing else that's not my business" A wave "Bye Dagmar" And in he goes

"It's.. I.. um. Yeah. Cleaning."

She retreats.

An eyebrow as the satyr goes. "From the mouths of fauns," she sighs. A final congratulatory pat to both horses, "Good evening, Dame," she says to Dagmar and then heads into the Lodge.

"Night, Chief!"

Stormwake nuzzles at Dagmar's hair from behind, as if to say thanks for looking after Star.

"Yeah, you too, Stormwake."

Now get to cleaning those stables, Hayheart

Good honest work!

And she can watch the horses while she does it.
