"Just... dunno. I don't like that I didn't know he was in trouble."

"I bet his phone doesn't have anone on speed dial. we FIX that"

"We could!"

"Wait, he's asleep, why am I.." She goes to get his phone, then blinks "He has three numbers. "

"NONE of them on Speed dial" She hands it over to Dagmar "LOad him up"

"What three?"

She takes the phone, checking.

Tove's... Brekke's... and ..Dagmars. None of them on speed dial though..it's an old phone

Dag also has a dumb phone... with real buttons. She starts setting up speed-dial, adding Jaymes to the mix. And Kerri.

"What's going on?" Torin wakes slowly

"Hey Torin. Fixing your phone."

"It was broken?" he rubs his head

Gerd gets the older man a drink

"Yeah... I mean, that must be why you didn't call anyone for help..."

"Oh... uhm.." Sheepish "I didn't really have time to type out numbers, Grand daughter"

Gerd raises a brow, but leaves first fussing rights to Dagmar

"See? So now you don't hafta. You have speed-dial."

"Seems lazy," he says "A skald should strive to exercise his memory"

A Look.

The salt and pepper troll blinks, "Did Tove teach you that look?" He says suspicious

"No."

"Eerie," He admits, then sighs "Fine.. I guess speed dial won't be hard to learn"

"But see, you just have to hit 1 and send.. boom, you call Tove. 2 is Chief, 3 is me.."

"And if I press 1 and 3 together do I get you both?" he asks.

Gerd mutters "Boomers"

"No, just one call at a time."

"Oh" He says

Then "Welll... if I'm in danger, why would I want to call you into it and risk you?" Torin says to Dagmar

"Because then we'd be at risk together, and so better odds."

"Plus, think how Tove'd feel if something happened to you?"

"Well, don't tell her until I've had time to turn it into a saga telling that down plays my danger.." He asks

"I'll be good... IF you promise to call for help next time."

"Hurumph." He says "I will TRY" True

"Ok, that works."

"Connor was a brave boy. Armed with nothing but a stick. His touch burned them, but he didn't learn taht until he had thrown himself in the fray" The Skald looks at the snoozing pooka

"My little brother is a bad ass" Gerd says proudly

"Connor's a good kid, yeah."

"I'm glad he was there."

"I don't know if he saved my life, but probably, and he certainly saved Racer's" He leans over and pets the greyhound

"Oh yeah..."

Gerd bites her lip thoughtfully, then "Connor probably should hear this praise when he wakes up. He loves to make folks happy and proud of him"

She nods. "I owe him."

"I think I'm the one who owes him"

Torin coughs politely.

"Well, you can owe him too."

Gerd nods "Share it, long as he gets his props"

"He deserves it."

"Indeed." He says "mm how are you doing, Dagmar? I can't help but notice a bump on your head?" BROW

"Oh, it's way down..."
