"Look, he wants to talk to Sylvi, ok?"

"Well, Sylvi's not here... okay?"

Adam huff slightly and looks back at Symon for instruction.

"Sylvi's tending the horses," Kerri throws over her shoulder, preoccupied, stressed...abnormally brusque.

"Symon, what's going on?" Gerd moves to him

"Want me to go get her?" He offers.

He turns away from Gerd a bit, wincing. "Don't want to bother. You're busy." Voice nasal and muffled behind his mask.

"Yeah, well, we can be unbusy for a sec. You hurt or something? Kerri can heal you up"

That's makes Kerri pause. She looks over her shoulder. "Who's hurt?"

His shoulders slump - so much for keeping this on the downlow. "Just a busted face. I thought maybe Sylvi could..." Wiggles his fingers a bit. "Spring it a bit."

Adam hovers almost protectively.

"Who the hell busted your face?" Gerd says

"Busted...? Come here. Let me see. Or..." she looks at the group. "I can look at it in the kitchen."

"I fell." He juts out his (lack of) chin a bit, then nods. "Kitchen." ... "Please."

Adam nods and walks with him to the kitchen.

Kerri gets up and leads to the kitchen, but says to Adam, "Wait here, please."

Slipping into the kitchen, he glances at the doorway and mumbles - then takes off the mask, and more clearly says, "...Thanks. Too many people..."

Adam stops, glowering a bit.

"I thought so." She nods. "Let me see."

Gerd look at Adam 'YOu know none of us would hurt Symon, right?"

She gives him the once-over, then goes to the fridge and starts taking some ingredients out of it, mixing and concocting...something.

"What are your allergies, Symon?"

He shrugs out of his jacket, wincing as he does so. Something is sore. Visible, he has a black eye, split lip, and a nose that looks potentially broken. "Just asthma. Pollen makes it worse, but nothing else."

"Mm." She nods, and does more mixing. Finally, she turns to him with a large glass of dark, thick liquid. "You need to choke this down." He can sense the glamour shimmering inside it.

He takes the glass, and gives her a... not suspicious, but a little confused look. "You're not going to ask...?"

"Not until after you're fixed."

He nods - a small wince - and chugs the liquid.

Adam paces outside the kitchen.

Gerd raises a brow as she's ignored by Adam

The thick dark drink turns out to be a chocolate malted with a good solid Heatherbalm in it.

"I suspect it'll taste awful to you, but drink the whole thing."

"Yeah, I know." He shrugs. "Whatever."

"So have a little faith" She says

A faint hint of a gag - ugh, it's so sweet, almost sickly, but he swallows.

The glamour flickers over him - nose shrinking with a faint snap that is audible, and a wince at that sharp pain as the nose heals, eye swelling goes down, lip shrinks, and he takes a deep breath, touching his side where a bruised rib no longer makes him wince with a deep breath. "That's a strong healing." Respectful. "Thank you..."

A tentative prod at his nose. It's not an attractive nose still, but at least it's on straight. "I feel like offering you dross might be an insult."

She shakes her head as she takes the glass and cleans up. "You don't owe anything, though I'd appreciate knowing how it happened." There's still that sense of unease about her, a tension in her stance.

"I don't suppose "fell down the stairs" is gonna cut it."

"No."

He exhales. "I'd say it was a fight, but those have two sides. Some ... not very nice folk took exception to me being out and about. And Asian at the same time." He relates the story that he told Adam earlier - but with considerable less profanity.

"...you won't tell Ann Marie. Will you? ...I would prefer if you wouldn't."

"Yeah. Ok."

A deep breath, then an exhale. "I won't. She has enough to worry about. Symon...after...." Another pause. "If somebody were to wish to scare those people who hurt you...and I mean scare them badly....I would not object to that. Now...if you're okay...let me get back to the work...."

He nods grimly. "I didn't want to tell Dirk either. They're mortals, so anything he does to them stays done. And he's a bit less.... subtle, sometimes."

She nods. "Now, if you want to help yourself to anything from there," she nods to the cabinet where he knows the sluagh-friendly food is kept, "to get that bad taste from your mouth, feel free. Excuse me."

She leaves the kitchen, passing Adam as she does. "He's fine. Go on in."

He nods and does rifle through there. He's dusting off a bottle of some sort of yogurt drink that should probably be refrigerated and not dusty, let alone with the seal cracked... when Adam comes in.

And soon, the rrrrRRRRRRrrrrr....rrrrRRRRRrrrrr of the sewing machine resumes.

Gerd looks at the Hearth but decides not to pry

And outside, the Kestrel makes a landing.
