Siv takes a treat "And they say we trolls are stubborn"

"All of Rivervale is stubborn."

Noticing the treats, she snags a blueberry one. "So business is good at the store then? Sounds like it must be if they're hiring on more workers. Wish I'd known - I could use some pocket change."

"Well, maybe part time? You could ask my dad."

"He.. well, he'd been doing everything himself..."

"Uncle Jaymes wouldn't want a woman minding the nightshift anyway" Siv says, then looks at Dagmar, "Sorry, not saying he's sexist, just.. you know, protective"

"It's been nice having him home at night."

Siv beams at that "I bet Tove thinks so too. I'm glad it worked out"

"Oh, nightshift. Yeah, I think curfew would cause issues with that." A small inward smile, though. "I'm glad he got someone, then. It's almost like trolls can think they can handle everything without asking for help, but that can't be right." Smile to Siv. "Oh, that's good! I didn't realize he was burning at both ends like that. Even a troll can't give 120% forever."

Siv blushes at the comment on trolls handling everything "I see you've met my family"

"No offense intended, honest." (no ping! 😄 )

"Yeah..."

"Oh, hey" Siv asks, "Anyone know what's with the golem arms and stuff in the sparring area?"

Crunch crunch on the rice crispy square. "Have they been calling Zane in for more patrols? He's been scarce lately." A blink, and she swallows. "The what?"

"Oh! Some assholes were chasing a chimera."

"Gerd and Dirk and I sent them packing."

"Yikes. Was it one of yours? That cute monkey? She followed me halfway to school once, turned out she wanted the banana I was eating."

"Oh, Snow..."

"Nah, it was this little book dragon."

"She talks, but everything is a quote! Isn't that funny?"

"Man I have missed so much" Siv says "Wait, Bronte? Zara's Bronte?"

"That sounds handy if you're writing a paper. You wouldn't even need to go to the library to get your citations."

"I thought she belonged to August?"

"But yeah, the one from Earth Runes."

"Bronte? Is that the author who wrote the one where the characters just won't get over themselves and hook up already? With whats-his-name - Darcy?"

"Bronte is a Bookwyrm Chimera, a dandy little dragon and AAAA DORABLE," Siv says

"I'm not sure. I think she's an author, for sure. Gerd would know."

"She is cute! I don't think I'm allowed another pet."

"That DOES sound cute. I've never met a dragon, and the only other one I heard of, I didn't want to meet. Maybe I can go to Earthrunes with you sometime?" A hopeful smile over to Siv.

"And She's Zara's , as much as a dragon dream can be anyone's. Then again, maybe Zara is hers? Or perhaps Gerd is right and they'r ea ch other's familiar"

"...I met Puff, once. Me and Siv." A smile, the memory spurring a little well of happiness.

"You might be a borderline hoarder if your'e not careful, " Siv says to Dagmar "But yeah." Then a nod to Piper "Sure, Piper. You might like it there. Watch out there, lots of cute guys and girls ..very dangerous. I will have to shield you"

"And horses AND hounds AND raptors!"

"They have dinosaurs? AND a dragon? Now that's something to see! We have horses, though. They can't have much to rival Stormwake and Star." Sounding confident.

And a laugh at Siv. "You'll be my brave knight."

"I will face the peril for you" Siv says

"Not at all. They have nice horses, but we have the best horses."

"They sure look like it. Even if I prefer my own hooves, they're something special to watch."

Siv smiles "And yes, they've got a lot of animals. I think that's mostly what Dagmar liked about it. She didn't even glance at the ball room on the way to the library"

Snort. "Dances."

"Hunh. I should see if Symon wants to go..."

"I wonder who Nadeen is asking?"

A sidelong glance at Siv. "If I thought they'd let us take folk from off campus, I'd ask you to be my date." A fond grin.

"..Not Adam?"

"Oh geez, not sure how Jonas would feel about that" A chuckle

"Oh, I can go out with him any time. This sounds like a fun way to meet someone new. And now I'd be tempted to invite the both of you - can you imagine the FUSS they'd make?" A laugh!

Dag blushes. "Oh. Um."

She bites on her lip as a thought occurs.

"I mean, the rule is that girls do the inviting. It doesn't say they get to decide who we invite."

"Well, no..."
