She notes this. "There was something else?"

Adam takes a moment to collect himself, then looks up into Brekke's face. "Dagmar ..... our schedules aren't really matching up. And I don't want to fall behind on training. So..... do you think there's someone else who would work with me?"

"Hm." She regards him a long moment, thinking.

He holds her gaze.

Eventually.... "I will teach you. For now. I may assign a different teacher at another point, depending on your strengths and needs. Does that suit you?"

"Uh. Yeah. You sure?"

An eyebrow. "Adam, I believe I would not suggest it if I were not sure."

"Oh, uh, yes. Ok. Thank you."

She nods. "As I say, the arrangement may change. When does your schedule allow?"

Adam thinks "Well, there's school and practice. Most of my work hours are on weekends but I've been thinking about going to seasonal work if Mr. Greenly will let me."

"I might pick up some odd jobs for Glamour but that's a side gig. I guess weekends before or after work?"

"Saturday mornings?"

"Sure." Seriously. "Whatever time you like."

A nod. "Saturday morning, then. After my first patrol." She names a time that's still pretty early.

"Yes, ma'am."

She nods. It seems to be settled.

"Ok then, Chief. Thank you!" A bright grin, and he seems a little lighter.

And with another bow, he bounces out the door.

"Hm." She nods, and he gets a hint of a grin in return as he heads out.

Sidhe are not common in Rivervale, but now enter two of them. One of them, Squire Brogan, looks mortified, as , of all things, a Liam escorts him in. And it's not Frank

Brekke is looking over a scroll of barony business and glances up as Brogan enters, then does a brief double-take. A frown of concern. "Hello."

Sir Carawyn says "Squire, feeling more like yourself?"

"Yes, thank you" The boy dusts himself off. Then bows to the Chieftain "Chieftain, I wish to apologize. I missed my duties here recently. Due to..unforeseen difficulties. Sir Carawyn assisted me. I'll get to the kitchen at once and to my knight if she is there"

The knght turns to see the Chieftain, and bows as well

She nods, still frowning. "She is. Will you give a more thorough report?"

A nod in reply to the knight's bow. "Sir Carawyn. Thank you for assisting Squire Brogan."

Mortified the squire says "It is possible that while the Autumn Person was wandering, I did.. not show enough resilience"

"My pleasure," The Bannerman says. His truthbranch symbol raises some brows to those who do not know it.

Brekke nods to Brogan. "I understand. That is not a failing. I am glad you have been returned to us. Will Hearth duty help you recover, or do you wish time before the fire, first?" She looks to Carawyn again. "Be welcome here, Sir. You have my gratitude for assisting my Hearth's squire."

The sound of footsteps on gravel outside.

"Actually, Sir Carawyn seemed to.. help reduce the banality" A pause "But if you'll pardon me, I would prefer to go back to Hearth Duty. I need pride more than balefire"

The knight says "Thank you, Chieftain. I have been meaning to make more formal greeting though I did meet my house brother, the Mountain.. Sir Carawyn, House Liam of the BannerHouse Truthbranch"

Frank spots Dagmar at the paddock, finishing up with the horses.

He nods as he approaches. "Dagmar." Greeting.

"Frank." Upnod.

"As you see best, Squire," she nods to Brogan. Then to Carawyn, she says, "Yes, I see the banner. What brings you to Rivervale, Sir?"

The grump troll pauses, watching Dagmar with the horses.

The horses are well loved - Star and Stormwake are being silly in the snow, stamping and dancing about.

"You do, Chieftain, or , at least, your support of the Bannerhouse," Sir Carawayn says "I wish first to extend gratitude for your action in swaying House Gwydion as much as you could which was considerable. I do not know how much you've been told, but we were hoping this place would be open to allowing one of our Bannerhouse to take residence in your fief. "

A rat-a-tat knock at the lodge door before it is opened. "Halloo-oo?" Piper calls. "Adam?"

"They look good."

A smile. "Thanks. I try."

Brekke has heard that the Bannerhouse, which specializes in aiding and protecting mortal love, be it familial, romantic, etc, did indeed send Carawyn. And that the Bannerhouse would like to have someone in such a Liam friendly area, but will not be offended if she asks him not to set up shop, so to speak, in her barony.

The Chieftain has also heard that Jaymes hired the knight to take on the night shift for his store

"Please, come and take comfort as we speak. Do you wish coffee? We have other refreshment, if you wish."

Then she looks to the door. "Piper, welcome. Adam is not here."

"Coffee is fine, Chieftain. I know you may have questions." He says moving closer, then he turns to see Piper, and nods a hello

Brekke indicates the coffee station for the knight to help himself as he prefers.
