"It's hard work, but I might be able to get you on the farm... there are lots of jobs. Milking cows, weeding and more. you'd start at the bottom so to speak, but they have dross."

He looks at his fine voile.....

"Well, you'd want to wear something more practical for that sort of work" She says with a shrug "Goes without saying I thought. "

A shrug. "Yeah. Sure. I mean.... if it makes dross then.... yeah, I'll do it."

"I'll look into other options for you. What are your skills by the way?"

He blinks. "Uh. I have a car. Not bad at school, I guess. I talked to a cookie."

"Car might be useful" She says "too bad you're too young for..." A thought "Wait... " She gets a piece of paper out and starts jotting down things

"Too young for what??"

"Uber, but maybe.. maybe you're not.. Not UBER or lyft or anything official to mortal world... but it occurs to me," She writes working out numbers "Lots of Fae wilders dont' have cars. If they pay in glamour or dross, with money as an option, you might be able to..."

"Like, off the books Uber?"

"That's the thing, chancy risk there... but if you use Chimerical connection, a website on Dreamnet... yes, this could work" She taps her pencil "Not sure why no one ahs thought of it before? I mean, there are changeling cabbies in the big cities but... this would be new. And you might like it better than farming"

Adam stands straighter. "Either way. Uber or farming or whatever. Just.... something."

"Well, I'm intrigued by the Driving thing now" She admits "But we'll llooking into both for you. After all, we kinian need to look after each other" She smiels at the younger teenager

He grins back, both cocky -and- vulnerable, somehow. "So.... that's how you do it? College, and study finances and stuff? I'm not really into school, though."

"well, how I do it may not fit you, but Hearths tend to do Finances anyway. It's an area that's not as visible, but trust you me, Both Hearth Agnes and Hearth Kerri know how to stretch a penny"

He shuffles a little closer. "So.... if hearth stuff isn't my jam, maybe I should look at one of the other places? Storm?"

"I wouldn't limit yourself quite so much. I mean, yes, for Lodge sake it's good to think of Storm, Mountain, and Hearth, but one advantage to having a harder time into the system is that we're forgiven if we're more versatile. " She says "For example, this whole fae transport thing? I can see it being help to noble holds, Nocker workshops and yes, troll lodges. "

"I mean, I'll give someone a ride, sure." He leans against the table. "What classes are you taking?"

"Accounting, Business courses, Management"

His attractive face wrinkles. "Isn't that........"

"Banal?" She says

"Boring."

She laughs softly "Oh sometimes yes. But Even though I'm only troll blooded, I do want to protect my loved ones. So.. in a waay, this is something I can protect them from that all their strength won't aid again." A breath "And..other times it's not that boring, not to me. It's a challenge.. like a puzzle that needs to be placed together, or a game where you want things to fall just so . I imagine that doesn't appeal to some, and that's okay." A nod "I also am taking other courses." A blush

Adam is interested! "Yeah? Like what?"

"Well, I took a course in Swordfighting" Embarrased all right "Learned I'll never be a storm"

He brightens. "They have sword fighting classes at college!?!?"

"Used to be just fencing, but to be more diverse they spread it out a bit. Kendo, the Japanese style? Mostly we worked with Bokken..wooden practice blades. But yeah , French and Italian style fencing, and even a touch of other styles from earlier European periods. In truth? You get more lethal training here."

"What college is that?" Intent.

She names it.

"Wow, that's awesome....." Adam is enthused. "What other courses are you taking?"

"Feminist Mythology." She says straight faced, "Don't laugh. it counted as a diversity credit"

He blinks. "What now?"

"I needed a diversity credit. African American Cultural studies was full"

"Well yeah, but what's the class about?" He seems seriously interested.

"Well, as the name might imply, it studies mythology and folk lore, and SOME pop culture, from a feminist angle. Breaks down the cultures they were fashioned from and the biases involved, and how those evolved. For example, Amazons? Not a culture idea that greeks admired, quite villified, but in our modern world, well, women find them empowering. Same might be said for witches."

"Yeah?" He edges a little closer. "Between that and sword fighting, I'd never get to a math class." He grins.

"I don't take the math classes, I will not be attneding college long. " She says "But you might like it. We had an assignment where we theorized what daughters of Zeus might be like.. the demigods, not the God Gods. Wish I were better at fiction"

"How come you won't be there long?"

"I mean if I quit going to math classes, I'll be expelled" She clarifies

"Oohhhh..." Understanding "That assignment sounds good, though. The daughters of Zeus thing."

"It was. " She says "Olgar reccomended the course to me. Glad he did."

Adam blinks. "Sylvi's dad goes to that college?"

"No, but he's gone to a lot of feminist marches and made contacts. "

"Huh. So, like..... you're into the feminist stuff?"

"Not so much no" She admits "But the college pushed for a Diversity related credit and African American studies was full"

"You wanted African American studies?" puzzled.

"Sure. Why not? "The blonde girl raises a brow

"Well... I mean.... you know, Dagmar, sure but...."

"So I'm not allowed to study African American culture?"

"No! I mean, sure, of course you can. Or I can! Or.... or anyone.... No, that's cool. Just.... didn't think it would be your first choice."
