"Yeah." Adam takes a chance and looks directly at her. "How about you? Zane misses you."

"Zane is a charming young man, he'll have lots of girls." She says "Besides, he's dating Maya"

"He likes you." directly.

"Of course, I'm very likable" Dryly

"Adam, one day I will likely marry for political advantage, no matter how much it offense Hearth Kerri it will at least be in my consideration. Zane deserves better than to be lead along and expected to always be secondary to whoever has more clout, don't you think? "

"Yeah. I guess so. But isn't it up to him?"

"In point of fact, no. " She says "Who I date is up to me."

Adam shrugs. "Fair. But who breaks his heart should be up to him. Whatever."

"I guess his heart can break from a distance" Brow "As well as up close."

A shrug, and Adam looks away from her.

A pause "Besides ,he's happy with Maya"

Another shrug. "Whatever. I should get going, I guess."

"I suppose" She says "If I've offended you that's best "

"Fft. I'm not offended, I just have better things to do."

A brow "As you say. I am glad you and Piper have hit it off. And I think you were very nice with Connor."

"Uh, thanks."

"you've made a place for you at the lodge despite not fitting in easily. In that regard at least, we're much alike. Be well, Mortal Champion."

"O...kay...." Feeling a little off-balance, Adam leaves the stables. Still no Dagmar?

Adam kicks at the dirt a moment, his voile at odds with his mood, and then he heads out.

Nadeen walks off. Thoughtful.

Adam checks carefully before he steps out; is his family still there?

They've gone home it seems.

Sally Mae is still in the lodge though "Hi, Adam."

"Hi. Uh. Sally Mae.... thank you."

"Oh? " Curious then "If it's about the tailor, others had a hand in that"

"Yeah, that. And letting my folks think I earned it, or whatever. Thank you."

"Letting your folks THINK you earned it?" Brow

She's kinian, the brow loses something, and her beauty might work against her, but it's still got mroe oomph than most

"Yeah, well...." Adam grins charmingly. "... it's not like I did anything on purpose for it. And that had to be... I mean, I don't understand a lot about Glamour and stuff but there had to be some cost, for all that."

He wanders closer.

"Oh Adam, the fact you weren't motiviated by some recognitiion doesn't mean you don't deserve some. I didn't let your folks THINK you earned it, you DID earn it." A nod "Also, it was for their sack. Your family is doing fine in the mortal world, but they're ..well, they literally didn't have basic clothing fae wise. "

"Yeah." Quietly. "I know. So. Thanks."

"Well, you're welcome, but you did earn that, and more." A nod "i'm not one for noble trappings per se, but that looks good on you"

A long pause. "Sallie Mae? How... I mean, is there a job I can get? To earn Glamour? I mean, since I don't make it on my own......"

"You have a job, at a sports store, and believe it or not, that is something some changelings can't pull off, not regularly. You have influence or at least an eye on the mortal world. If you need to, trade what you learn there for glamour, But you know that if you ask Zane would give you an enchanment, as would most here I suspect. "

"So, no." He distills.

"More like 'I suppose we could make one up' if you insist" She says "Adam, if you're trying to earn glamour for your family, they can get it more easily than you or I... the flame is open to them. They can enchant you ..." Suddenly Sally Mae says "Oh blast me for a fool. You don't want to be BEHOLDEN, is that it?"

A shrug. "Not really."

"Well, as my telepathy isn't the best, clue me in" She suggests

"Don't you feel like.... like....... like you should take care of your Fae relatives? Like.... they won the lottery but.... " He trails off, at a loss.

"But they still need me? Sure. One reason I'm going to college is so I can help them with finances."

"Yeah. I guess." Nope.....

"How do YOU feel?" She asks

A shrug. "Fucked up."

"Nah, nevermind. I'll figure it out. Thanks, though." He moseys to the door.

"Hey, look" she says "I don't understand why you feel ... F'ed up exactly, but I do know you've got every reason to be frustrated. They're Changelings, and here you still are. They need glamour and help, and here you are. You want to matter. And I can tell you you DO matter over and over, but I'm not sure you'll believe me... or maybe you feel like it's just not fair and you feel trapped and obligated to handle things.. I've been on both sides. But you're not alone. And if you really want a glamour source one yo ucan work for? I have an idea."

Adam is very -carefully- trying to keep control of himself.... he looks like he might want to hug Sally Mae, but he wraps his arms around himself. "Yeah? So....what?"

"How are you at farming?" She asks

He shakes his head. "What, like.... growing stuff? I never did that."
