"Gezez, I sometimes forget how tall you REALLY are. I mean, are you in a different time zone?"

"No, but I do get my own weather."

"Heh" She goes in "Geez this place is beautiful..." She snaps her fingers as if remembering something "Oh.. Zane's a goat guy. I remember now"

"Yup. Goat. You want anything? Pop? Iced tea?"

"Pop's great... "

"What are he and Adam doing on the far part of the wood?" She asks..meaning the area the patrols don't always go too, it's that far by walking.

"Hunh? That's pretty far for patrols..."

"I dunno what they're up to. Are they in wolf turf?"

"Close... not enough that we feel we have to do anything about it..." When she gets her drink she sits own and pulls out her books to join in the studying "is Adam on patrols now? I thought he was a muggle?"

"He's.. um.. like your brothers, right?"

"Related."

"Oh, kinfolk" She nods "mmm more worried about him than Zane. I'll talk to the pack about it"

"Kin, yeah! So he's with us, y'know?"

"I hear you. So, how are things with you guys? I mean, even when I'm not glowing I know you're different etc, but I feel like I've had bad WiFi for over a week"

"Yeah, sorry. Good, I guess? I miss basketball."

"No kidding I mean... I get lots of physical activity, but I wouldn't mind it coming in the form where the folks I'm upagainst AREN'T evil unnnatural monsters out to feast on my soul"

"Also I worry my layup is gonna get sloppy" A frown

"Well, we can shoot in the driveway when it's nice?"

"Sure. Do I get bonus points if I get a point by bouncing it offf your horns?"

A grin, "Missed you, Chica. " A sigh as she looks over the book "On the other hand whoever designed this text book was overpaid. "

"Oh yeah. Like, writing stuff in greek.... who CARES about two trains?"

"Honest to gosh, if TRAINS don't have GPS to track their OWN stuff, I would think they're breaking safety standards... why am I doing the railroad's work here?"

"Exactly."

"Nevermind that I've got to skip like 10 pages one way then 8 pages another to get all the notes related"

"I hate homework." SIgh.

"Yup. Right there with you. Let's hate it together and kick it's ass"

"Good plan. SOme of the other guys might show up..."

"Sylvi's got cheer tonight, though."

"Yeah, Nadeen probably at cheer too though."

"Yeah, I forget who we're playing this weekend"

"You gonna do track come spring?"

"Probably our rivals... apparenttly they'e going gah gah overe one of our 'hunks'?"

"Yeah?"

"Luci knows a LOT of gossip" She says "Apparently we've got some student that 'prefers' the girls of their school to ours"

"Well... good for him?"

"I guess" A shrug "Just ..weird thing.. they say he's a foreign exchange student.. and I'm like... do we HAVE one of those?

"Um. None that I know of?"

"Hence the mystery otherwise I wouldn't care about the gossip" She says "Okay.. tell me if this looks good," Showing her formula

Dag scowls at the numbers, plodding through them methodically.

"I think you flipped these two." She points.

"Snot" She flips them back

"yeah, good save."

"Or luck."

"Brains" She corrects "Don't put yourself down, that's what friends are for." Elbow nudge

A brief flinch but then a grin.
