Sally Mae cleans the kitchen ,scrubbing

And talking on the phone

"What? No. GOD know. I mean, I get it, if I were a 'true troll' I could be a shoo in for Hearth at the farm, and who doesn't need the strength? But I'm learning to appreciate what I can do and get away with compared to kithain. No, I don't know how that magic worked, but I'm fine as i am. "

"Yes, that is awfully mature of me. Thank you for noticing" She says.

The call goes on, whoever she's talking to talking back

"mm? I think I'm the only one here. I could cook something...if the scent carries it's like a 'summon wilder' spell"

"Sure sure, talk to you later"

Hanging up, she begins to cook a little something... a meaty cheesy mix

the smells filling the lodge

Like clockwork....

"Sally Mae?"

"Why hello, Dagmar"

Sally Mae has made a lasagna of sorts.

She calls it her 'chunky cheesey'

if you hate tasty meat and you hate rich cheese, you won't like it

"Whatcha doin'?" Sniff, sniff, look around...

"Just had a nice talk on the phone, and cleaned up. Now that things are clean, I'm messing them up again with some of my chunky cheesey, patent pending" She chuckles "Of course, I stole some of it from what the Hearth taught me, and a lot from Luci's folks.. and a bit of Iowa love of meat. I thought I'd see if anyone was hungry, otherwise I guess it just goes to the fridge. Know anyone who wants some?"

"I mean, if you need help taste testing..."

"I could, like, give a fair wilder assessment..."

"Would you?" She says "I'd be awfully grateful. I'm a wilder myself, still, but I worry I might be juust a bit biased"

"I will take that sacrifice!" Dramatic pose.

"My hero" A chuckle and a hearty serving is put on a plate for her "How are things?"

"Mmmph. Okay, I guess." She tucks into it.

Oh this is good..

Texture!

"Mmm. Meaty-cheesy." Approval.

"I know it looks a hot mess, but when I tried to make it prettier it lost the feel, is that odd?"

"Things don't have to look good to taste good." She makes short work of it.

A smile "Thanks. Sometimes I feel like Brogan is doing more work here than I am. College and family kept me busy."

She shrugs. "You got obligations. We understand that."

"Well, I am troll blooded and a Debuke and not getting my duties done does not sit well by me" A pause "if you tell Clem how I'm talking about duties and obligation all serious I'll deny it. I don't want her thinking all those speeches she gives got into me"

Snort!

A grin "Actually, mind testing a dessert?"

It turns out, Dagmar is willing to perform this secondary task

And she'll be glad she did!

(End Scene)

Full of food, Dagmar hangs out in the great hall to do homework - Jaymes, as always, is in the store. Tove is recording.

There's a knock on the door, the dogs give a 'we know you' kind of bark

Dag gets up and goes to check.

Lupita Gonzlalez is petting one of the dogs

Oak, out on porch patrol, is shameless

"Lupe!"

"Hey, amiga. Working on homework right?"

"Yeah. Unless, like, there's some dire threat?"

"No, dire threat is I could use a study buddy" She says coming in

"Well... less fun than fighting."

"Wait." A frown.

She rummages in pockets, before infusing a tootsie roll with glamour. "Eat first."

"Okay okay." She pops it in her mouth "Wow"
