"Feels dishonorable" The bigger girl says

"As long as no mortal comes by, we're fine!"

After school hours, 4ish

There's been one wave of snack takers, but there's likely to be another, and Kerri has replenished the platter of cookies and fruit. Now there's prep for dinner.

But should Adam be outside.. he might see two girls sneaking past the dogs into the hearth

Adam is on patrol in the area; although he's been giving permission to visit, he is still leery about doing so.

One is a Clurichaun, he's seen kinian of those...the other is a troll girl, but he's never seen

In the kitchen, chopping sounds.

"We sure this is her?" A whisper

"Shhh... Hemlock knighted her... didn't ask. so she fits"

"He didn't? Jeepers, we need a #sidhe too to warn folks"

Adam walks over, frowning.

Carrots turning into neat little discs....

"What token do we take? This feels like stealing..." A frown from the troll girl

"No no.. it's questing... that's all... not like we're doing ot for greed." The redheaded girl peeks thorugh the door "It's her.."

Kerri hums quietly to herself as the carrots go into a pot. Now the celery...

"Do it Olgi..quick."

Adam watches the Fae he doesn't know from behind, and considers his options.

Olgi makes a gesture... and a wooden spice shaker floats behind the Hearth's body unseen by her... towards the troll childling

Adam whacks the troll's arm with his staff firmly, but not to break it.

Spice flies! Olgi says "Forsetti is on us, we've shamed ourselves!"

"Shut up, Olgi!" The redheaded girl says and sees Adam "Crap, a mortal?"

And yes...the veil is broken,, Kerri can see /hear

Adam folds his arms and looks stern.

Kerri turns quickly at the sound, her large kitchen knife raised like a weapon as she grabs up a frying pan (regular) in her left hand.

She takes in the scene...two childlings and Adam....frowns, and lowers her arms. "What is going on here? Adam, who are these girls?"

The girls are pre teens, not quite wilders. Olgi mutters "We' should have worn the ninja outfits"

"Ah, its ..very ...snot" The clurichaun begins cleaning up the mess

"I don't know, Mrs. Davidson. They were creeping past the dogs, and the dogs didn't do anything. They said they were going to take a token?"

Speaking of dogs, NOW they're howling!

Adam uses his staff to pull the spice shaker closer, and picks it up. "I think they were trying to steal this?"

Kerri looks grim and is very tall in front of the girls. "You come veiled into my Lodge? What do you mean by it?"

"We're.. we're on a quest" Olgi says

A nod of acknowledgement to Adam, but she's focused on the intruders.

"We would have returned it, honest" Ruby says

"A quest?"

Ruby quotes ""Find you thus a hearth made not of stone, one spurred to serve Knight and day where the flowing water cuts a valley, and retrieve a token to prove you entered her domain unseen.""

"And we all know about Rivervale because they're our best allies" Olgi says

Kerri frowns and really looks at them, realizing they're from the Farmhold. "Who would set you on such a quest?"

"Well.. uhm.." They hold out a letter

Ruby shoots Adam a look

Adam offers the shaker back to Kerri and ignores the look from Ruby.

"Hold that a moment, Adam..." Kerri takes the letter, puzzled, and looks it over a moment before opening it.

Adam does so, head held high.

Also written on it, in elegant scrawl

"This is...." A confused tone as she starts reading, then a pause...and then a shift in her expression. "Ah. I see." She gives the girls a look. "So you need a token to take back to the Witch. Is that true?"
