"Oh, shoot. Nadeen, I gotta get her to... well, no. Not upstairs. Couch, though."

"Couch" And the girls get her to couch. Before tucking Tove in there

Tucked in, shoes off, pillows stuffed, lights dimmed.

"So... seeya?" Fidget-smile.

"See you" Nadeen says "Unless you want to watch a movie? "

"Just the two.. err three of us?"

And.. a movie might be selected that both girls can enjoy..quietly, no waking up Tove..shhhh

Sylvi has been almost abuzz with energy since the defeat of Elegan. She may not be sure why. She gained glamour from it? How odd.

"Hey, Sylvi" Vali says, he's sharpening his weapon

"Oh, Vali. Hey." She smiles, then notes his task. "Expecting trouble, or just good maintenance?"

"Good maintenance" He admits "How goes? " A pause "mmm someone is aglow a bit"

A blink. "It's that obvious? Geez."

"Yeah, I seem to have gotten some kind of glamour bump from...well, from a thing, but I wasn't expecting a boost."

"Beaumayn are very perceptive as well as funny," He says with a nod "What 'thing'?"

She bites her lip, uncertain. "It's kind of confidential...I can't tell you specifics..." She works out how to approach it.

"So...a guy was going behind the backs of several people, and one of them caught him at it, and then I found out, and I got some friends to help get all the people he'd messed with together, and they all formed a pact to work together, and we all ambushed him and caught him in the act so he couldn't weasel out of it, and then we told him he had to stay out of action for a year and a day, and that if we ever caught him again there'd be more serious consequences." She can't help grinning with satisfaction at the end of her description.

"Oh no wonder then" He says

"Yeah? Um...can you un-wonder it for me?"

"Sure, sometimes we gain glamour from being true to our fae selves. Sluagh can gain glamour from educating someone by scaring them straight for example. Trolls are guardians... even if it's indirect, you just defended the public, or a section of it, from a threat. In fact I bet others turned as you as the coordinator if not leader for it. You'e on a 'true to your kith ' buzz."

She positively beams. "I...do not hate that." Understatement of the year.

"Sylvi, did you not realize you're just as much as a guardian as an emissary and ambassadoress as any thane on watch? " A brow "A shield may have a skull or a flower as a blazon on it, but it is the strength of the shield that matters... not the image it presents to the world that makes it a guardian. "

She blushes a bit and looks away. "Well...I'm not going to lie, sometimes I feel like people think of me as the Barbie troll. And I don't really mind bucking the trend on stuff, but...well, like I hear people used to say stuff about my mom being more like a boggan than a troll. I guess it's nice to feel...legitimate?"

"huh. " He ponders "I think maybe I'm too used to courtly things the sidhe way still, to me, a herald or emmisary is highly respected and requires some brains as well as charisma. But I guess I can see how you might put up with being type cast. Trust me, you're legitimate. I joke a lot about things, it's how I keep on keeping on, but while you have your vain moments; when the chips are down you're getting things done just as hard as any warrior. You care about your people and want to do right. " A smile "And folks tendd to forget that Barbie has a PHD"

"She does?" A dubious look.

"True fact, multiple barbie dolls have been released... one of them, a medical doctor, not a nurse- though I respect nurses, but a medical doctor... mandatory education is involved. Barbie has also been an astronaut, and the qualifications are strict. Probably several I don't know of. Barbie looks good, has fun, and perhaps at times sets impossible beauty expections- but stupid she aint"

Sylvi laughs. "Well, yeah...but still not the typical troll. I get it, though. And thanks." She gives him a quick hug.

He smiles and returns it "You're welcome. Oh, she also has at least a master in musical studies. Go fig. And don't worry, when you get right down to it, 'typical troll' is a term that loses a lot of meaning. The Chieftain is a troll's troll.... and an artist.." He gestures to the wood working "But folks are so impressed by the 'shackebreaking nametaking dragoncracking darkness whacking ' thing they just barely see that. Your mom isn't some boggan with a glandular disorder.. though the term does make me laugh-don't tell her I admitted that.. .but a guardian of stability and helps each person who comes to her fight inner enemies tougher than any thallian. Your dad? Unseelie, Unapologetic, warrior, rover.... feminist in a pink hat? The more you get to know a people, the more 'typical' they seem, the more you get to know a person, the less power 'typical' really has in this world"

"And then there's those goofy Beaumayn uncle types who get all smart and say nice things without warning."

"Can't trust anyone these days" He agrees

But smiles "And thanks"

"So besides both of us being awesome, anything else going on?"

"So much" He says "You want school news, my personal life at my house, troll news, or more politcal... any and all of this might overlap"

She smiles and settles into a seat. "What's the most overlap-tual?"

"Brotherhood of Thor is looking at the Chieftain..which is both Trollish news and Political" He says "She's on the radar with an organization of noble trolls and I find it both funny, intriguing, and worrisome- Funny- because some sidhe nobles wet themselves at the idea of troll nobles getting more organized, Intriguing because the ramfications could be very positive for our kith , and worriesome because more politcs can mean more problems"

Sylvi frowns in thought. "I've heard the term, but I don't know a lot about them. Are they...I mean, it sounds like a good group, but then a lot of groups sound good that aren't. Is this a good group?"

"I would say benevolent" He says "They started out as just a group of trolls of both courts who took their views on strength very seriously, code of dagda discussions and how far spread that was... and they helped each other out. Then, the sidhe, most of them anyway, fled... and the Brotherhood found itself one of the few organizations that might be able to help keep all from falling into CHaos. God knows, they tried... they did a decent job given doom of dreams so on."

"Oh, so this is pre-Shattering! Wow....that's old."

"Both courts, huh?" She mulls on that.

"The Code of Dagda does unify us somewhat even if we debate it to hell." he says "And yes... long story made longer.... the sidhe return... and discover to their shock the trolls tried a 'coup' of noblity- NOT How it was, but some sidhe are paranoid. Accorance War ends... and... because some sidhe put pressure on the Brotherhood in paranoia... it only makes the brotherhood tighter"

"In short, by treating the brotherhood as a political organization rather than a support network, they turned the Brotherhood of Thor truly political out of self defense. IT is still, I think, beneveloent for the most part, though it is bound to some causes I'm not crazy about"

"Tighter, and more political...but more secretive? Because I sure haven't heard a lot about it, and it's not like I don't talk to trolls...."

"Their major focus of late has been in the Kingdom of the Feathered Serpent," he says "Hence the problem. Troll nobles given a chance to bring order to the most chaotic part of Concordia...and some nobles of the sidhe hoping it destroys the orgnaiation by exhausting it. They're not so secretive, but some folks never ask about them. They tend to wear a thurazaz..err hammer symbol on their neck. You may have met members and not known."

"Huh. I'll keep an eye out." She thinks another moment. "But why would they want the Chieftain if she's part of House Gwydion?"

"I mean, this all sounds really un-House-y."

"That's why it sczres the sidhe. Duke Topaz is a gwydion. Others trolls are Fiona, or Eiluned, or Dougal... but they all still are of the brotherhood, and it is old, so old, that it may predate some houses"
