"Oh, hello young man" Kyle says

He grins at Brenda and waves, though he calms down a bit to nod more politely to the troll grump. "Hullo. Are you Mr. Mrs. Brenda?" To Kyle.

"Mm, Connor?" Brekke leans down to the boy. "What is the matter?"

"Um, how, how, um how do you catch a unique rabbit?" He gazes up at her with all seriousness.

She considers this with equal seriousness. "Do you lure it with a rare hare?"

Brenda looks amused at this. Covering her mouth with her hand.

This stumps him for a moment.

"Noooo, you gotta 'NEEK UP on it."

"Wait, I mean. Um."

"YOU "NEEK up on it!"

Footsteps on gravel outside.

"Oh that's adorable"

Brenda says

Ears prick and he looks towards the door. A slow wag starts of his tail.

"Isn't your friend fun, Lily?" Brenda says not looking away from her coffee

An eyebrow, then a grin, and a somber nod. "As you say, Connor."

Lily who thought she had the best hiding spot where she couldn't be found , well, her eyes go wide

Frank steps into the Lodge, closing the door against the cold. He pauses in the action of taking off his jacket. "Hm." A deep rumble.

Brekke looks at Brenda, confused, then looks around for Lily.

"Answer your mother, Lily." Kyle says

Lily says "yes, he's funny" Stepping into view near the fire

Brekke looks up at Frank enters the Lodge. "Mountain," she nods, lifting her mug in salute.

"Sir Fraaaaaaaank!" Connor waves frantically.

Slight surprise as Lily appears.

Brenda winks

Frank, all nine feet and horns of him, nods. "Storm. Guests. Connor."

He beams at getting acknowledged.

Brenda rises "Mountain? Forgvive us, we're not used to seeing people as blue giants yet but getting there. This is Kyle, my husband, Lily my daughter- please call me Brenda."

He nods gravely. "The Thomases."

"Welcome. I'm Frank King."

"You have met. Briefly."

"Memory must be going." There's a movement of his beard.

A flicker of eyebrow movement, a slight grin.

"Oh yes.. just have to lower things by a foot height... I'm sorry, Brekke already told us she met us regarding the Y before we were ..transformed... I feel like such a fluff head" Brenda says "Nice to meet you in kithain shape Frank!"

"An honor, mountain" Kyle inclines his head

"Pardon." And he hangs up his coat and leaves his boots at the door.

"Mountain," Brekke says as he fetches his coffee, "Mr. Thomas has indicated a desire to join patrols."

Connor glances to Brekke with a clearly hopeful look. "He should have someone with him to show him the way..."

Kyle nods "id be..." A frown at something "honored"

An eyebrow at Connor. "You sound as though you are volunteering."

"I'm good at tearing. I tear up and down those trails like the back of my paw!"

"This is true." She looks from Connor to Mr. Thomas. "Connor does know the lands well. Some of your patrols should be with him. However, I think you will start with me, first."

"Of course," Kyle says "Thank you for the help, COnnor, but I imagine the Chieftain will wish to evaulated me first" Somberly

Brenda says "id give him a 8.6 myself "

Brekke clears her throat and masks an amused look by sipping her coffee.

"Brendaa" Kyle says low.

"OOoh, me too. Rate me?" He bounces excitedly on his toes.

Lily tugs gently at Brekke's side "pardon" A whisper

"Mm?" Brekke looks to Lily and leans close. "Yes?"

Frank nods. "Good ideas." He goes to get a drink, and checks, as he does, the levels on others.
