Frank (And possibly Brekke) are on a patrol when they see Jonas approaching. The young man is, in many ways, a troll's troll. Despite his wordiness.

Frank nods in greeting.

"Salutations, Mountain" A pause "May I trouble you for a moment?"

"No trouble, Jonas." Frank pauses for the younger troll.

"It's regarding your daughter, Sir. I.. this is awkward"

A heavy frown. "Siv?"

"Your daughter and I are..dating. I am old fashioned, but I fear if I asked for your permission, or even blessing, she'd be incensed. So I'm forgoing that."

Frank nods.

"Your daughter is a very vexing woman, and yet I keep returning to her. She is.." His brow sets "She seems flippant, but when I look beyond her attitude I begin to see her dedication to the lodge ,and to the Seelie Code."

"And?" Perhaps Jonas is imagining a note of warning?

"I find myself increasingly in awe of her," He confesses "And more."

"Yes?" The Mountain's expression is still, motionless.

"And yet, she seeks to join House Fiona and... I do not know what that means ...for her and I"

Frank doesn't move a muscle, or speak.

"I.. I could use your advice I think"

"What is your question?" He asks.

"How...is your daughter making a mistake in trying to join House Fiona, or am I just ...possessive? " A pause "or both?"

"I think it's neither your decision, or mine. If it is a mistake, it is hers to make."

"It gnaws at me that she might be hurt" A scowl

"She will be hurt, yes."

He paces "Am I selfish for wishing she would forgo this entire Fiona thing?"

"Yes, but excusably so, I think."

"Thank you, sir. "

"For what?"

"Understanding"

Frank nods.

Jonas paces like a panther , maybe he spends too much time in big cat form. "Your daughter and I are...very unlike. "

And Frank nods again.

"I ...do you have anything you could advise?"

"Do you have modernist leanings? Is that your concern, that she join a House, any House?"

"I do have modernist leanings, Sir. I don't see we need to join houses when we have our own society and culture to draw on."

Frank nods. "You may have a decision to make."

"Yes. " A sigh "I do. My thanks for your time" He turns to go "Excuse me"

Frank nods any permission needed, and watches the young man walk away before shaking his head.

Not so much away, walk away- one, two three steps and takes the form of a raven, not his usual form... but maybe he just feels like wearing black while he uses the skies to clear his mind.

Frank sighs and patrols on.

Eventually, Frank finds Brekke clearing a branch from a pathway.

She hears him approach and turns. "My Heart," she greets him.

He seems quietly pleased to find her. "My Alaska." As he approaches.

A pleased look in return. She nods toward the branch she just cleared. "Not much weather damage this season, so far."

"Good." Frank rumbles.

"Ran into Jonas a bit back."

"Mm?" An automatic glance down the path he came from. "Trouble?"

"For him."

"He's concerned about Siv joining Fiona. He's a bit of a modernist."

She blinks at him a moment. Then she says, "Hm." A pause, and then she begins walking on the path again, allowing room for him to join her. "She...is pursuing this."

Frank nods. "I think so."

Several quiet moments as their feet tread.

"All things considered.... it might not be a bad thing." Finally.
