Within the stables, a small boy sits, elbows on his knees and chin in his hands, thinking over this conversation. Is it rude to eavesdrop? Likely so, but ruder still to interrupt, he reasons, and ponders what he overheard for a time.

Meanwhile, Dagmar is skipping a party!

When in doubt, there are critters.

The owl is at the boat house, and now that it's night, Solstice is getting active.

It is errie how quiet he can be now that his wings are healed

Dagmar is camped out on the dock - if she's quiet and patient, she'll see him! Right?

Oh her eyes get tested, but finally she notices a pair of large eyes in the shadows

VERY still. Barely breathing!

"Huu" It says, rougher sounding that most owls she's heard around here

She grins!

She is rewarded by more of the owl's white feathers into view

Solstice looks so much better now, regular food and healing has restored a lot of his fluff

She never did get him to the house. But he seems happy out here.

Oh that was an interesting challenge. Not that the Chief was mean about it, but she seemed to agree with Jaymes that the boathouse would be better than risking over domestication just yet.

No pet raptor. Well, Odin would have disapproved, anyways.

"Huu Huu" Soltice says again, and twists his head

"Huu." She tries.

"Huu" he seems to coach, deeper from the throat

She drops her pitch. "Huu."

"Huu" He appears to agree, better

She scoots behind a piling.

"I am aware of what a 'party' is, that is not the point. I am simply saying that how are you selling this as a matter of duty of all things?" He says "Our time could be better spent on patrols"

"oh my god you're anal" She says "Look, if nothing else they might need some designated drivers or the like"

She listens. No need to draw attention.

"There are libations there? Liquors?" Alarm "That's illegal."

"Oh god, how am I attracted to you" SHe says "Yes, they might break a few rules..."

She stifles a snerk.

"I like you, god knows why," Siv says "And you like me."

"yes, that's private" he insists

"No, it's not fooling anyone, so let's celebrate it" She says

They better celebrate on the boat

"I prefer to celebrate it ..with just the two of us" His voice says "I do care, but must we be on display?"

"Little bit, yes" She says "I'm not someone to be ashamed, or be ashamed OF."

EYEROLL.

"A party" He says something akin to disgust

"Yes. we dance, we hold onto each other, and we have a good time. " She says "I haven't really seen you dance yet."

She can't even escape it here. Uhg.

"Huu" Solstice declares "Huu Huu"

"What on.." He turns

"Oh, it's Solstice! He maybe trying to hunt. ANother reason to go. "

"Oh, well, if the animal is trying to eat. I guess..." ANd they ..leave? Did the owl just cause them to leave kind of?
