Where Siv and Jonas went is anyone's guess. They talked and went off.

But as the dogs bark a greeting, it is clear someone they know has returned

Kerri tries not to let herself be too anxious as she goes to the door. What is, is. So she opens it as calmly as she can and looks out.

She sees her husband, he seems dazed, he's normally much better about dragging his bloody axe on the floor. There are wounds on him, and she can see why he's dazed, it looks like he got quite the crack on the skull, but it's so much heavier than that.

He limps and makes his way to .. a bench at the table "Honey, I'm home" Weary

She doesn't let him get that far without help. His free arm up over her shoulder, she gets him as close to the fire as she can manage before his legs give out.

Connor squeaks, and comes to take the axe from him. He almost falls over, but manages to heave it over to the doormat.

"Connor, thank you, bring two beers from the 'fridge, please. The black-label ones in back."

"My favorite flavor." He nods, and scurries into the kitchen.

"Hey kiddo..I .." His legs would have buckled earlier without his wife, "Putting a dent in my machoismo lover. I ah, took an inventory...cracked skull... torn ligiment in my right leg... a broken rib.. kind of stings"

"Olgar...you're back. You made it." She says it quietly and firmly, as if reassuring herself as much as anything else. "Cracked skull...good thing they didn't hit anything important." A humorless tease.

He comes back with two bottles, an opener, and a tin of cookies (not a sewing kit!). "That's a lot of things."

"Heh," he laughs then winces

"Thank you, Connor, set them here." Kerri almost grabs the bottles from the boy, and she eschews the opener, instead biting the cap off of first one and then the other with those strong teeth that she seldom shows. "Here, axe-boy..." She passes one to Olgar, then twines her arm with his. "Chug it," she directs, lifting hers to take a drink at the same time.

He watches in awe.

And he chugs! he appears to be professionaly trained!

She joins him, and it appears to be a race, one they've competed in before...but this time a wave of glamour swirls from their twined arms and towards the bottles, though the energy first going to hers gets redirected towards his, and the alcohol sparkles before it pours from the bottle and past his lips.

The wounds heall in a priority, the ones that could hurt him most or damage him forever heal up fast... the others slower and maybe not all the way

but Olgar feels better when he puts the beer down "You're the best, Cowgirl"

Connor is watching the motions, the wounds, practically the flow of glamour intently. Then he takes out a cookie, licks it, and solemnly offers it to Olgar. "It's my favorite flavor."

Kerri may look a little spent after she puts down her beer. "You know it," she says in reply.

A curious look at Connor, then an encouraging nod at Olgar, with the subtext of you're not gonna shy away from a little pooka spit, are you?

Olgar takes the cookie, "Thanks, Ace. For the cookie, and for acting as mission control around here."

The cookie tingles in his hand! Connor doesn't have the skills to heal, but there is a bit of glamour put into it, fresh and lively childling-flavored.

And he crunches it, "Good flavor all right"

A proud grin at the boy. "Good job, Connor."

"And not chocolate, because it's filled with terrible horrible poison. But I would get a chocolate one for you if you wanted." He offers with sincerity.

"Mmm good. " he says "But wow, what a trip." He looks to Kerri "The kid...the mortal soul I mean...he's safe... and he's NOT autistic. Not in the dreaming. In facct, he would not shut up."

"I'm artistic. Mostly crayons are my medium."

"Oh!" She lets out a relieved laugh at that, and finally gives him a hug. "Well..." A sniff. "Serves you right, exactly the kind of travelling companion you needed."

"Well, obviously itw asn't all him chatting.. or I'd be cleaner. Honestly? I .. fought hard as hell to get him to the final gate that...well... I don't remember much but I should have... I should have died. I don't think I've ever been that deep before."

Kerri looks at him a long moment. Then a glance to Connor before clearing her throat and asking, "He's okay? It's...you got him someplace safe?"

"Yeah..I know I did" He grins wolf teeth flashing "I ..that's the one truth I got for sure. Oh, he told me to tell frank... that he was good. That he was happy, and he was free. "

A deep breath, and a nod. "Good. That's...the second-best news you could have brought."

"What's the first-best-news?" Connor inquires, seated now and leaning against Olgar's leg.

"Yeah, what's the first best?"

A grin down at the boy. "That I get my husband back." Then she taps Olgar's head where the wound just healed, lightly. "No excuse for you to be dense about that." And she gives him a kiss.

"It's good to be dense, then you break less easily."

Olgar starts to return the kiss, then snorts half way through it when Connor makes that joke

Kerri grins at that and says, "Connor, would you do me a favor and set up the cot for Rover Olgar? He still has some healing to do, so he gets the 'Fire tonight."

"You might need TWO cots. There's an awful lot of him." As he trots to help out as requested.

"Kid's cracking wise about my weight?" But he smiles

"You're very impressive, dear," Kerri patronizes him. But there's an undertone of exhausted relief, and she takes a moment to hold him close again, careful not to bruise tender ribs.

"Darn right i am. I was amazing. I killed more guys than Cecile B Demill"

"And so humble," she mutters. "You want something else to eat or drink?"

"Now that the rib is on the mend? Yeah.. I could eat a hearse" He confesses "We had to keep running.. made sure the boy had food, but wasn't time for me. How ..how are things here?"

"Everything's...well...it seems like things are fine. Siv and Jonas were here earlier, they said they fought the Balor's creature and won. Sylvi went to help -- she's fine, she's checked in, she's just helping out Adam with getting the last bits straightened out, I think," she assures him. "I think...I think it all went fine. Nadeen's father is in his new host, and Nadeen and Dagmar took him to Caer Falken to meet the Count. The Chieftain's there, now, too. Not sure where Frank is...he's certainly still not happy." A pause, then she stands. "Wait here, I'll get you a proper meal."
