"Not taller than Dad, I don't think."

"It'll be close. Your father IS tall" She agrees, "Even for a troll. I like that mind you. Makes me feel dainty" A twirl

"Heh."

"Well, you're like Sylvi. Girly."

"I suppose I am. But you know, The Chieftain and you are a lot alike and she's still a hell of a woman so girly girls and tomboys unite, we're all pretty cool"

"Yeah. I wouldn't want you different."

"Right back at you. You want to go home or were you about to patrol with Siv?

"We were gonna patrol."

"Fine. Tonight at home we'll be playing it safe. Burgers and fries for you when you get done"

"Okay!"

And Tove and Dagmar step out. Siv looks over and nods

Frank looks up over his half-moon spectacles.

"Dad, I think Dagmar and I will go patroling. "

He nods. "Be vigilant."

"Come on Dagmar, let's go out and rebel by dropping our guard and ignoring things" SIv smiles

Frank sighs quietly.

Snort.

"Siv," Tove says "Your father is just showing his love, and it wouldn't be unheard of for wilders to get distracted. I know. I am one. Be nice."

"Yes, ma'am" Siv blushes, "Sorry, Dad." She goes over to him and gives him a kiss on the cheek before opening the door for Dagmar

She tips a salute at the older trolls, and out they go.

And Dagmar and Siv go off to save the day! Ready for any danger!

Frank accepts the kiss with good grace.

When the girls are gone, he looks at Tove. "You are well?"

"I came this close to murdering your brother the other night" she admits

"Well, probably something right about that. Want to tell me about it?"

"It turned out that he'd known for a few weeks even before it was reported in the news that the store he worked at was going to be closed"

Frank pauses a moment, nods. "I wondered."

"He did not tell me" She raises a brow "Dagmar stumbled onto it before I did. Poor girl was so worried she ended guilting herself into ..well, nevermind that . I rush ahead. You wondered? Did you know about this?"

"Only now." He shows her the newspaper article. "Was going to ask Jaymes about it."

"Well, we're taking a gamble on something... we're buying the location and running it independently. Jaymes is too proud to ask, but do you think you could tell your local truckers about fueling up there in the back? It's not a Pilot or anything but it has a tank set up that can do it"

His beard moves. "I can say something, yes."

"Appreciated. I want this to work. Good lord, how did you react when you found out Siv still had 2,500 dollars? Dagmar stunned me"

Frank blinks.

"Pardon?"

"Remember that 2500 we got a few months ago to really help us out? With the baby? Turns out it was Siv secret donation. She donated half. I.. can't thank that girl enough really."

"Where did they get that much money?"

"I have... no idea" A blink "Oh god did I foget to ask? It was so amazed we could salvage everything I.." Tove facepalms "I'm a terrible mother"

Frank looks a bit sour. "No, you lose. We didn't know she had that much money."

"Much less where it came from."

"Well, something to talk to her about I guess. And I should talk to Dagmar but ..she just handed it over on the goodness of her heart and I knwo my girl, she wouldnt' do anything WRONG for the money"

"Mmphm."

Tove crosses her arms "She would't"

"Dagmar wouldn't." He agrees.

"And I don't think Siv would either. Your daughter might have a touch of piriate, but it's the goodly sort of pirate dream"

Eyebrow.

Shrug

"Well said." With a hint of humor.

She laughs "Jaymes has been teaching me"

"I will speak with Siv." he says.
