Siv sleeps near the balefire in leathers, hikingboots and all

She is dressed for patrol. And she hasn't missed a patrol in days

She's missing one now.

A snort.. "Huh?"

She wakes up "Oh god.. how long?"

"I missed a patrol" Mortified!

Shame faced, she rises and gets a start, but that's what, four hours the usual patrol was neglected? It's unlikely that during that time something serious happened, but you never know.

"Stupid stupid stupid..."

She may or may not notice that someone covered her with a blanket.

She almost doesn't, but when she sees it ,she blushes with yet more embarrasment "Probably da. Great. Why didn't they wake me? I ... now someone knows." A deep breath "Well, won't get anything done crying about it, Siv. Off ye go"

Bootsteps on the gravel walk towards the Lodge.

She opens the door

and looks out.

Frank, bundled against the cold, is scraping his boots off outside. "Hello, Siv."

"Hi, dad. I'm really sorry. I don't know what happened. I just sat down"

He chuckles, breath fogging as he steps in to take the boots off. "You have been overworking yourself. That is what happened."

"No no..." A pause "Not much." A pause "You noticed the double shifts ? I thought...maybe folk weren't. ah, aware"

"We noticed." Simply.

Dag comes in, bundled up. There's hay stuck to her beanie.

A blush, less shame, but still some embarrassment, "But still, I left the fief undefended..well sort of for a... whole four hours"

"It was not underfunded. Hello Dagmar."

"Hey." She stomps the snow from her boots and strips off coat, scarf, gloves and hat.

"You got a bit of hay in the hat there..." Siv says

"Oh... yeah." She plucks it off. There's also some in her hair.

"And your hair. I thought Brogan had the horses handled this morning."

She looks at her dad, "Okay, I get it. I exagerate the 'threat' but it's still.. well, it was my shift and you had to take it up. I messed up"

"Well, yeah, but Stormwake was in a mood. He wanted to play."

"Siv. It's my job. You're fine."

"Stormwake, sometimes he's 'king of the wind' other times he's just a colt" A smile though, and a look at her dad "I guess. But I FEEL how I feel you know? So, thanks for taking that shift up. I guess I can run rounds and hear about any needs the locals have. Help mom out"

He nods, and pours a cup of coffee.

"Have I been slacking on patrol? I can do more shifts.."

"No Dagmar, you have been very diligent."

"Right, sorry, Dagmar, I didnae mean to say you haven't been doing your shifts. Just, well, you were feeling sort of down of late so I thought.. well, with mom busy too I just ah.." Not sure if she can say this without offending someone "I just thought I'd try to ease everyone's burdens a bit"

An odd expression.

"Well, guess that's the season."

Frank takes a drink of his coffee.

"Aye well..."

"How are things for you both then? feels like a while since we got to talk"

"Um. Okay, I guess."

She scuffs the floor and tugs on the cuffs of her hoodie. "Anybody want something to drink? I'm going to the kitchen."

Frank lifts his mug in response.

"Yeah?" A smile at her dad, then she nods to Dagmar, "Sure. Hoodie weather again huh?"

"Uh-huh."

"Does that mean no more hair styles with Sylvi? you were rocking it at the naming"

"Could do hair, maybe."

"You looked very nice." Frank adds. "You represented us well."

Shrug. "Um. Gonna be right back."

She retreats to grab a Dr Pepper from the kitchen.
