Sylvi stares at her father in disbelief. "But...but...."

"Nope" Gerd says "I'm good, but I'm not Narwhal good"

"Didn't think it worked that way. Okay. thanks."

Gerd rises "Everything okay?"

Olgar looks at his daughter with the hurt look, "Baby, what do you want me to do? Get in a car and head there myself now?"

"YES!"

"Sylvi is worried about the Chief and crew."

"Or...SOMETHING!"

"Is that why she's yelling?" Gerd hears something from the kitchen "Okay. Uhm.. well, If you tell me where it is maybe I've been somen place close?"

"Um. Upstate new york?"

Olgar says "it's a three hour trip...two if I break the speedlimit the whole way maybe. " He looks at her eyes then sighs

Gerd says "Like Albany? "

"Dagmar's trying to figure out if Gerd can Flicker Flash there. And Nadeen's checking to see if Vali can help."

"Dad, Mom'll still be here, and we'll be here, so we're not abandoning the Lodge."

"Um..."

"Please!"

"Not sure?"

Olgar turns the heat to low, and curses under his breath, taking off his apron, and handing to Sylvi "Mind the soup. Stir every now and then for the next ten minutes. I gotta go get my car keys"

She throws her arms around him impulsively. "Thank you!" And yes, she puts on the apron and picks up the spoon. "I'll make sure it doesn't burn, I promise."

GERD Looks helpless "I.. don't think I can help. The only thingthat flicker flashes without knowing anything I KNOW of is the Narwhal"

Olgar looks at his daughter, "I better get more than another ugly tie for father's day, taht's all I'm saying" HE hugs her back, then goes

"Well, Sylvi wanted to know. I'll tell her. I mean, Chief and them drove..."

"Did you check their GPS Locator?"

"Chances are they're still on that tracker program they share with Siv" Gerd explains

"Right, computer stuff."

Gerd says 'Normally this is where I'd say something sarcastic, but it sounds drastic. So... Let me see"

She pulls out her own phone. "Uncle Vali isn't bad with computers, and I think I can..oh here we go. They're in Rome!"

"Yeah, that! Upstate, told you!"

Gerd gives Dagmar a LOOK, then yells down the steps "They're in ROME... 'up state'" this time some sarcasm does slip out.

"GREAT" Olgar yells "On it" And slams the door

Jaw-jut.

"Hey. nobody fucking TOLD me the details, okay?"

"Fine, but 'up state' is huge, all I'm saying" She says "is anybody hurt that you know of?"

Sylvi stirs the soup.

"And closest I could get would be may syracuse, sorry" Gerd adds

Sylvi worries...

but she does not burn the soup

"Nobody hurt yet, no."

"GOod to know. Sorry I couldn't help more" Gerd frowns "I really need to travel more and learn spots"

"Maybe hang out with Olgar?"

"I guess" Gerd says "He goes by trod. I go by flash, but he can at least show me some spots. Oh, though with the new trod I know Fenix now"

And "Vali is busy" Nadeen announces to all, "Apparently a matter of great import. Now, I think, we wait."

The Varich says "They'll all be just fine. I am no prophet, but I can read the patterns."

And she looks utterly sure of waht she says

"Chief is a legend, the rest are pretty good too. So.... let's go distract Sylvi while she waits?"

"Good idea..." ANd the girls go to cheer, or at least distract, Sylvi
