"What abput the Chief? Gwydion?"

"Yeah, she's a troll though.. oh, you mean the House? No.. I don't suggest it. They are real sticklers for the rules"

"I mean, the Chief was not nearly as tight with you as I thought she'd be at first, if that tells you anything? though.. cool you're making a positive impression on her" A smile

"Yeah, right. Troll. Need a Sidhe. Guess same goes for the Mountain. "

"maybe.. I mean, if you want sidhe info you've got to find a sidhe I guess.. I just don't know if they're going to tell you much"

A pause, "You know, my dad might know one...as a friend. He studies fae politics you know?"

"Yeah? Weird?"

"Not so much, he's kind of got two jobs.. college profesor for mortals, and writer of books for changelings mostly in the areas of power dynamics. Want me to call him and ask if he knows any sidhe that would give you more than two minutes?"

"Yeah. Would you?"

"Why not?" he pulsl out his phone and makes a call. "Dad doesn't like text. Says it diminishes the capacity of language and thus empathy" Eye roll

and then he says "Amber, It's Zane. Is my dad between classes and availible?"

A nod... then "Thanks!" ANother moment

and "Hey dad... I have a weird favor to ask.. are there any reformer sidhe types that would be willing to talk to a kinian that you know of? It's for Adam. Why? I'm not sure but I figure no harm if you can suggest them. " He nods "Uh huh.. yeah.. agreed, no Leanhuan... I don't think he wants a music career or anything anyway and Mountain Frank would brick a shit"

A nod, "Yeah dad.. I've tried explaining the power dynamic, and he knows the trolls are a fine example of reformist policy in action... no really"

Zane nods, "OH very grateful" Another nod

Adam nods in agreement

"You know a guy.." He takes notes "Oh.. uh huh... a graybeard yes? Okay. " Writing "Well, I guess we could ask Squire Brogan...hand't thought of that."

he continues to write, "Thanks dad." A pause "So about Amber's website?"

A sigh "Okay okay. Gee the law is fussy. Thanks again dad."

He hangs up. And hands over a slip of paper

Adam takes it eagerly and reads.

Looks like an address in the next barony over.. Teaneck. It would take him a bit to get there. Twenty five minute drive if trafic is kind... the name on it says 'Octavious Kolby' and has a moon on it

"Guy is an Eiluned knight... not the house I'd pick, but apparently dad thinks he's all right. Dude is MONEY... so when you get there, just tell him Professor Conrelius Wayburton sent you'. Obviously Octavius Kolby is his mortal name"

"Yeah, ok." Adam looks up
"Dude, I might go do this now....."

"Sure. I'll pass word onto the trolls about Ramona ..." An offer, "You go check on that?"

"Sounds good, thanks!" A quick text home and he's Teaneck bound!

There is a knock at the RV door

Dag opens the door.

Zane says "hey, is the Chief or Mountain Or Hearth in? I got a trollmergency sort of"

"I mean, I know the samhain clean up is going on still"

"Um. I think Frank is around..."

"Fantastic.." He grins "how are you doing?"

Shrugs. "Okay?"

"Nadeen's thing is soon."

"You okay?"

"huh well I think so, it's always good news with a new changeling is..." A thought "Oh, you mean about Nadeen?" A sigh "yeah. It .. I guess. I miss her , you know? I didn't think it would last, but I still liked having her as a girlfriend and as a friend too. I thought sure one would end, but the other, it's like the song said.. 'now you're just somebody that I used to know' and that.. well" A frown, "That hurts. I know, it's just how she is. She wraps herself up ...but ouch."

Dag grunts.

"Guess she'll be happier elsewhere."

"you too huh?" He asks

"What about a new changeling?"

"oh yeah, Adam meet this girl and noticed she had a glow of sorts ... and that something was different but he couldn't figure out what. I mean, he's got okay kenning for a guy who isn't used to our world and isn't naturally advantaged. Anyway, her name is Ramona, and she was babysitting his sister.. and, I got a look at her... and there's a fae soul in there! That's why I needed one of the elders, I figured they'd know when best to pop her right?"

"Oh, sure..." Brow furrow. "Not at school, for sure."

"But, like, Right of rescue means we shouldn't piss around, neither."

"Yeah. " he says "I mean, we could have popped her right there, at her house ,but it might have caught her whole fam n it"

"...I guess, yeah." She nods. "FRANK!?"

"Isn't it supposed to be SIR frank, or Mountain for official stuff?"

Frank is through the bedroom door way and half down the stairs. "WHAT?!?!" The rafters shudder.

"HEY! CAN YOU COME DOWN?"
