Dagmar folds her arms, looking stubborn.

Brekke is silent another long moment. Then a sigh. “We will not expect you to help the evacuation.”

"But, speaking as a parent, if the lot of you think that you might not face consequences for doing an end run about the rest of us, you might want to reconsider. " Olgar says "I don't speak for other parents, but talking for myself, I'm not above sticking a medal on you for this AND grounding your ass, Sylvi"

A grunt from Jaymes. He has been very quiet, his brow knit

Dagmar shrugs. "Whatever. We're still doing this."

“Worth it, Dad. Totally worth it.” She’s not smiling as she says it.

“I do not like trusting in the unknown,” Brekke says. “There are too many unknowns in this matter already. Be careful that whatever your actions are intended to do, that they do not interfere with our efforts.”

Jaymes motions his daughter to him.

A flicker of nerves, but Dag heads over.

Olgar nods at Sylvi, then looks at Keri, the look simple- we either lock her uup or we let her go, and I don't think the former will work

Kerri folds her arms, clearly unhappy with the situation, and gives a shrug: I suppose we don’t have a choice.

Sylvi swallows tightly, but nods back to her parents, then to Brekke. “We’ll make sure it helps and doesn’t interfere. That’s the whole point.”

Jaymes looks at his daughter, and pulls her into a soft hug, then whispers to her ear, "Keep them safe, and come home."

“Hm.” Brekke doesn’t sound completely convinced, but she nods. Then she looks back to Emmit and Arthek. “All that remains, I think, is to determine the weapons. Emmit, how are you with a bow?”

"Back in the day I did all right. Might want to practice, but yeah...I can use a bow. I spent some time among the Nunnehi who taught me a few things" Emmit says "It was a whole 'Indian stuff is neat, check out my tasseled jacket' phase"

She nods, sober. "I'll do everything I can."

Jaymes grunts, sighs (I'll talk to Tove. She's going to worry too)

Brekke nods. “Then you should have the Black Arrow.”

"One shot, eh? I'll try to make it count" Emmit nods.

A nod. “Arthek will carry Gram. And that means that, in addition to Speaker, I should have the lance...and I will ride Stormwake.”

Arthek grunts "WHen do we go?"

“We do not yet know where we are going. We cannot go without a destination, and we do not know the destination until Skallstrike attacks.”

Her tone is apologetic, frustrated at the uneven battlefield.

Dagmar grimaces but doesn't comment.

Jaymes, at least, can rea the distress.

Brekke sees it, too. She was expecting it. But a lance is used from the saddle, not the ground.

She chews on her thumb-knuckle, shuttered. She might go smash something later.

Nadeen enters, "Chieftain, I need... " A pause "Oh, there's a meeting"

A look to Nadeen. “There is, yes. What is it that you need, Nadeen?”

"I was going to ask you to..write a letter of reccomendation for a banner house, that Gwydion lend it's support in the Parliment... it's a small insignifcant house... Liam, with Fiona backing, but it would mean a great deal to me"

“A...banner house?” The word sounds foreign on her tongue. She shakes her head. “I cannot do this now. We will speak of it later.”

"Yes, clearly I ..apologize" the sidhe says, noticing Emmit's and Arthek's distrustful looks.

"But soon, please." She says

“Speak with me this evening, please, Nadeen. Now, please excuse us.”

And Kerri gestures Nadeen to the door, courteously but firmly.

Nadeen says "Apologies again. "And with draws

But she does shoot dagmar a concerned look before the door closes and she can be seen no more

"The dragon attacks at Samhain," Valil says "But the path he takes will be via Firnost... and then.. then he'll be going after the Farm."

Brekke looks sharply at Vali. “You are confident?”

"Yes. I saw wheat burning... I saw children dressed in halloween costumes and then dying. I saw a woman in green disolving in flame as a tree went to ash"

Emmit scowls "That... sounds like us."

Sylvi bites her lip anxiously at the description, and then gets an even more determined look on her face.

Brekke nods. “Then we will stop him at Firnost,” she says grimly.

"You'll stop him in the Dreaming" Olgar says "But I know the path you need to take now. I 'll guide you to it."

"Looks like the Kestrel needs to load up at the farm, after all" A frown on the face of Siv "I'm sorry, Mountain Emmit. Hopefully it wont' come to that"

Brekke nods to Olgar, frowning and distracted with some thought.

"Hope for the best, prepare for the worst" Emmit says

“Speaking of...”. Kerri interjects “...I have been preparing emergency kits. I’l make sure there are plenty on the Kestrel.” A nod to Siv.

"Yes, Hearth Kerri, " Siv says respectfully.,

“Some with the Three, as well. And...some with the wilder questers.”
