It's been a while since she's had the room to run, and unaccustomed to the weight, Star is soon breathing hard and slows her pace reluctantly.

"And Storm is thunder, so..." A laugh and a shrug as they slow to a more measured walk, cooling down.

And she picks up her pace, recognizing the sounds of praise. Yes, she is!

"Yeah, she's a beautiful horse. And Stormwake, you're amazing too."

The two riders and the two steeds take it easy and have a nice time on the trail before returning home. Hopefully another apple and carrot await.
