At least after the other day, Dagmar HAS been tending the horses - point of pride, more than anything. She'll show everyone she's the best with them.

That, and she does genuinely enjoy the work.

Siv comes out to feed the horses again and.. "Oh"

Star nickers at Siv. She's OKAY, but her troll knows better how to scratch the itchy part of her mane now that her fall coat is coming in.

"Yeah yeah" Siv says to Star, "Sorry, I Prefer ships to horses, sue me."

"Hey, Dagmar, wanted to apologize to you" Siv says

Grunt. She's curry-combing Star.

"For what?"

The disdainful flick of her tail seems to indicate she WOULD if she could, and she reaches out to try to nab a particularly tempting dandelion just outside the gate.

"The text attack... I got worried you were in some kind of trouble because ..well, horses and such.. and when you told me you were okay I should have dropped it. Sorry if I pestered you or symon"

Shrug. "You didn't need to freak out."

"I had stuff."

Stormwake makes like he might try to beat Star to the prize

Ears flick back and she shows her teeth!

Siv doesn't agree with the term 'freak out' but lets it slide "Well, I hope you had a good day. Do you need me to take on horse duties more ofteen as a regular thing?"

"Hey!"

Stormwake huffs but backs up. Geez.

"It was a day." Scowl.

Innocence once more as she stretches those last few inches and delicately plucks the flower. Monch.

"You don't fool anyone, you know that , Star?" Siv smiles though, then she looks at Stormwake "ANd you wouldn't have wanted it if she wasn't already going for it."

"Star's a diva."

Then a nod to Dagmar "She so is. Then again, Stormwake's a show off so.. they match. " A smile

"Heh, Yeah."

"I don't have your gift with animals " Siv says "I envy it a little."

"You just gotta listen to them." Sigh.

"Wish I could talk to them like the Aesin. Star has her bridle, but it stresses her out."

Star gives Dagmar a friendly nudge with her forehead. The girl communicates just fine! Just don't stop brushing.

"Well, there's willowwhisper lessons" Siv says, "But it looks like she's got her ways of letting you know what she wants without the bridle"

"Ha. She just wants me to brush the itchy spots. I'm definitely not the boss."

She does, however, attack the itchy spot.

"That's okay, Stormwake here gives me this looik like 'don't even try it girly' if I act like I'm going to ride him."

Stormwake flicks his ears. His rules are very clear. You may ride him when HE decides you're worthy- nothing personal.

Star snorts at him, and pointedly gives Siv a friendly-sounding soft whicker. Maybe she can ride. As long as she doesn't tug on the reigns like they're the rigging!

Siv tilts her head "Okay. I don't speak horse, but that almost sounded nice. Okay, Dagmar...translate for me please?" And she takes out a carrot. "Not sure if she likes carrots?"

"She prefers apples."

"She might let you ride... I haven't ridden her yet, but you're lighter than I am..."

Nostrils flare. Treat? Swish.

"Greedy gus. You know THAT word."

"Well, does she not like carrots or..." at that moment, Stormwake leans over and chomps the carrot Siv had out for Star.

"Oi!"

Her whinny of protest is high-pitched! Thief! Traitor!

Crunch munch. Smug body equine body language

Eye-roll. "You two."

Siv gapes "What kind of..."

She stamps a foot. Snort stamp snort.

"Hey, hey, eeeaaasssyyyy..."

"I'll get her an apple. Even it out" Siv says

A toss of her mane - then she stops mid fuss. Apple. Apple? She knows THAT word, yes.

Dag nods. "Good plan."

Siv says "Hang on, Star, Be right back."
