Nibuni gapes at the couple, then looks at Dagmar "Okay, you are officially scary now. How'd you do that?"

"If the porcine snout accommodates?" Jonas mutters.

"oh you are asking for an ass kicking..." Siv says

"Hey, Dagmar.." Siv keeps walking. "Look Jonas, come along or don't. " She's grabbing things.

"Oh I'm going. " He moves into the kitchen and assembles a few things from there.

Shaking her head.

And then they head out "Well, don't do me any favors. If it weren't for the fact you're moderately useful..." /"Perchance are you ever going to forgive me for giving you mouth to mouth? " /"oh he wants a medal ..." //"Given how I'm paying for it a purple heart might be more apropos"

Nabuni smells the air like it was fine spices

"..it's like a soap opera, right?"

"Oh yes.. mark my words, come Samhain someone's going to have to throw ice water on them"

"oh sorry... I'm born of..well, not PG 13 dreams?" Apologetic.

"...yeah, I get it."

She tilts her head "Adam does that too."

"Does what?"

"Gets kind of like... someone says something and he takes it like an insult.. or seems to."

"Oh, yeah. He gets real touchy sometimes..."

"Well, he's not faking, he really does get his feelings hurt sometimes, but he's too proud to word it that way. But he's a great guy, particularly when he doesn't think about it, right? Like... if he sees someone else in trouble he wants to help."

"Right. But sometimes I think he's looking to get insulted..."

"Mmm maybe not that bad, but he lets his frustration get to him . He feels like he's muzzled and waiting in line and isn't sure how far he can go or when he might say too much so that makes him anxious."

"Just because he can't talk first?"

"Not just but I think that's not the way he goes normally. I mean.. you've seen him with non fae? he's like 'hey' and works comfortable in introducing himself"

"Yeah..."

"So with kithian he feels constrained, held back... and he really wants it. But... I know you and Zane are helping him so.. as a like another friend of his I wanna say 'thanks'"

"Well, I want him to be happy."

"I mean, this whole thing has been great for me..."

"Well, the Chief is a whole nother level...."

"Well, yeah."

"I mean, there's Kerri, too. And Tove. Everyone's so sure of themselves."

"Oh I bet they have their doubts. Everyone does."

"Maybe, but they sure don't show it."

"Like - Kerri always knows the right thing to say."

"Experience helps... they've made more mistakes so learned more. "

"Yeah, I've made lots of mistakes."

"Sorry-ish" She grins, "Okay. I should leave you to your homework... but hey, mistakes or not, Adam likes you a lot so maybe it's okay neither of you is perfect"
