"But what about joy, passion! Love?" Siv says

"All fine things" Jonas says calmly, "But contentment is severely under rated."

"Because it's boring" Siv says.

"Are you content?" he asks.

"Well, no I guess I'm still seeking..." She says.

"Then how do you know i'ts boring if you've never achieved it?" He inquires

"God you're annoying." She fluffs her hair.

She is packing for the trip to Fenix, and bringing a few things besides.

He raises a brow as she has thrown a lot of things on the table to organize.

"You just... throw whatever i nthere?" he says

"Sure, not like it's important like Ship storage space" She says

Brekke comes downstairs, Frank following. He has insisted on carrying their packs, much to her mild annoyance ( I am not frail, My Heart )

She looks at the scene and raises an eyebrow...her daughter seems to be displaying her underwear on the table in front of the new young man. Not that she's wearing the things at the moment, but....

"I'm sorry if I offend you. I just don't understand your disdain for the stoic philosophy and life style" He asks.

That gets a slight chuckle as she reaches the bottom of the stairs. "Siv is many wonderful things, but not a stoic."

"I don't disdain it , I just find it constraining and miserable... okay, sometimes I disda..." She turns "Oh, ah, Mom, Dad. Almost ready"

"Are you ready, Captain?"

She nods "Aye. " She puts the last thing in, then gets her tricorn hat on, "NOW I'm ready"

Brekke turns to Frank, who also nods his readiness. Jonas probably understands these grumps far better than he understands Siv.

"Chieftain, Mountain" he inclines his head

"Jonas, please forgive our absence. Please seek out the Hearth if you have need. We should be back in a day or so." A nod to Siv. "Let us be off."

"Nothing to forgive, Chieftain. Familial duties are also part of who we are and I have met the Hearth and she seems willing to endure me. " Was that a bit of humor for Siv's sake? Hard to read.

"Someone has to," Siv says "Later, Jonas." And with bags luggage and ship in hand (Or bottle) they head out of the lodge.

A slight wry look for the young man, and a nod. Then she casts a look to the balefire, pauses a moment, then follows Siv. Frank holds the door for her, and also nods to Jonas before they both depart.

As they move out doors and out of ear shot, Siv says "Before you tell me. I know . I know. I judge people too quick and get stuck on it."

A rumbling answer: "I said nothing."

"I ..yeah you didn't." A sigh "Dagmar did. I THOUGHT was I was getting better" They head towards the lake.

"Better?"

"About kneejerk judgments calls. " A sigh "Thought I was doing it less. Jonas just... he's weird."

Her parents are behind her, but she might be able to sense the shared glance. "He troubles you," Brekke surmises.

"Big words like he's trying to show off..what's he got to prove? " When they get to the lake she opens the bottle, and out appears the Narwhal

"I often use small words. Does that mean I have...nothing for which to be proud?"

"No I..." A sigh "No mother, of course not" The ramp falls out for them to board. "I guess it's not just that ... part of it is the embarrasment of having to be be rescued. I know that. But he also is a master of an art I'm trying to learn, or not a master maybe... and he's so.. implacable."

"He has seen you vulnerable when you would show nothing but strength." A bemused huff as she boards the ship after Siv. "I understand how that is." Frank adds a disgruntled huff, but no further comment at this moment.

"I... darn it... yeah. that.. yes" A sigh.

"Yes. Perhaps it is good that we will be away for a day or so. Perhaps he will have left before we return."

"Good. He's... annoying" SHe gets behind the helm "To TIjuana's waters, close to the Fenix hold as we can get"

And the ship plunges int o the waters

Jonas looks about "Hearth, is there anything you need me to do or shall I patrol? "

Sally Mae pushes in

"Jonas, is patrol something you're willing to do? You won't know the locals...I should probably send you out in a team with somebody," Kerri says. Then, "Oh, Sally Mae! How are things with the childlings?"

"I can transform into an animal so no one is disturbed if it helps..." He says

Sally Mae says "How are they? Well, Tiffany's thrilled because Margalitta knows how to make a bomb out of legos...and the supplies she had in a case. if it wasn't for Piper drop kicking into to the air..."

"I am more concerned with you perceiving a problem where none might exist," Kerri clarifies to Jonas. "Sylvi!" she calls.

Kerri stares at Sally Mae. "A bomb ? Is everybody all right?"

"mm that's a very good point, Ignorance is the enemy of.." he blinks "I'm sorry, a bomb?"

"A bomb" Sally Mae says "That adorable girl made a BOMB... out of legos mostly but also I think Nitro"
