"Oh, you have a sluagh in your motley? I wonder - I've never known one well enough to try, but I'd love to see how they think of the clavichord. It's usually just used for composition, because it doesn't actually get loud enough for performances outside of, say, an audience chamber."

Jonas's comment makes her frown curiously. "I thought...the Peace Corps...?"

She waves a hand dismissively. "I'll be glad to sit with you, I already know you. And school started what - a few weeks ago? They'll already have cliques going, and I don't need any drama."

"I dunno... Symon doesn't play anything, I don't think? I could ask."

"Well, we're pretty low drama. I guess we are jocks. I don't feel like a jock..."

"My time is almost up" he admits "I did call them to assure them I was alive. So they're releasing me."

"Even so, he might like to listen?" A nod to Dagmar. "Well, you have all that strength, it would be a shame not to use it, waste not, etcetera. Is Zane on any of the teams? I bet he could do cross-country, but probably only if someone dangles a picture of a girl in front of him as a carrot."

Siv says "Yeah, we she jocks crush milk cartons against our foreheads and scratch ourselves, but other than that..."

"Ah. I see. Hmmm....perhaps you might find something close by."

Then she laughs at the idea of Zane being led by a carrot.

Dagmar snorts at that image.

well, a girl as a carrot.

"Track is spring - I do that, too. Mostly throwing heavy stuff."

Jonas ponders "I would like that. Maybe a charity. I just don't wish to be lethargic."

"Ah! Laundry. Pardon me, everybody..." Kerri edges her way past the teens to go down a hall and vanish into the laundry room.

"Zane does theatre, so... no time for teams, I guess. Oh, and I think he might do Speech & Debate..."

"I can run, but music is my passion." She smiles a bit, then looks thoughtful. A small frown. "Maybe I should go out for track."

"You should! Wait til you meet Lupe and May. They're mortals, but, y'know, cool."

Jonas watches her go, then says "I don't wish to impose, but am I acting in proper accommodation with the protocols of this lodge in regards to the triumvirate? I worry I'm making a bad impression."

Siv says "Music? You should meet Dagmar's mom or grandpa. They're both skalds"

She nods to Siv, "I'd like to. Are you all related here? Cousins and kinfolk?"

"Well... you seem pretty formal. So that is unusual."

"Not all of us, but.. a lot? I'm adopted."

"There's a special troll oath for it, got it after I was sained."

Jonas's brow knits, then nods "I suppose I am prone to solemness. I like to know boundaries."

"Oh, that's neat. I'm adopted too, but that was when I was just a little nugget. My moms are great though." A moment of silence, wistful, but then she brushes it away and smiles. "No oath, but good as gold just the same."

Siv says "Dagmar becoming my cousin was a wonderful gift. And not just because she can move furniture that would make me pass out"

She grins. "I've got cousins upon cousins, but not any that I'm really close with. It will be nice to make some new friends."

"Oh, totally just as good. Baby adoptions are the best."

Jonas says nothing as the subject turns to family.

"They love you, they're there for you, good enough and then some" Siv nods "Me? I was raised on a ship."

"So, yeah. A lot of related trolls, but those who aren't are still close?"

Jonas is wiping down cabinets where the shorter trolls can't reach.

"Oh, now that's interesting! Do you know any good shee santies? Shhee shan - " A pause, giggle. "SEA. Shanties."

"The other kiths.. well, the run mostly in families, too. Lucia's folk are boggans..."

"Oh sure, heck, I even know some..well, have yo uheard the Mariner's Revenge song by the Decemberists? Oh I love that"

"I don' think I know that one! Do you play at all?" Back to Dagmar. "A good mix, it sounds like."

"I sing. Tove taught me."

Jonas listens in to the talk of other kith. "So, are there many sidhe? And.. if I might, what houses?"

"One sidhe, that's Nadeen. She'll get sained sometime in November."

"She's Varich" Siv says "Other than taht.. uhm Squire Brogan is a Daireann , he's a childling too. Though learning Hearth matters because hospitality matters to his house. "

"And there was.. ah.." Siv stops "Well, no, he was Teaneck and.. it doesn't matter anymore" She says her face resolving into constructed acceptance.

"Nadeen is probably some fancy title, so she'll probably leave after she's sained..." A little frown. "That'll be weird."

"Well, I'd love to jam with you some time. Now, I swear there was... hmm, a selkie lass, and I DO remember the pooka, and a few others. Did the slumber party all head home?"

"Thane Tiffany and Sally Mae are watching them at Thane Tiffany and Sir Vali's new house. I can give you directions if you like or even escort you there?" Jonas offers.

"Oh, I don't know if I should just barge in. I can wait until I meet with Sir Vali if that's more proper."

"The pooka is Connor, and he's... somewhere... maybe sleeping?"

"Or getting up to mischief?" She asks with a grin. "It's one or the other, isn't it?"

"But Connor lives at the lodge. And he's staying." Stubborn jaw,

"Oh, yeah. Connor is very good at getting into things, but he's really very sweet..."
