Brekke considers. "Gerd, I am not certain about leaving you in charge of two childlings at the shoreline by yourself. If Foam is in need, yes, please bring her there. And Connor, we will arrange for a beach trip soon, so you may go as well, with more older people to watch."

Gerd looks unsure if to take that as doubt on her abilities, or a way out of her babysitting "Well I.. sure chief. Let me know if.. you know, you wnat me to send others with them"

"I mean, who ever" She clarifies

"I simply do not wish to tax your energies, Gerd. How many can you safely move at once?"

"I have my lifeguard certification..." She adds, eager to sound useful. Helpful.

A nod back to Piper. "I am glad to hear that is the goal. I would like to hear more about what happened before, but perhaps not now."

"Probably four others with a bit of dross" She says.

"Eshu can take care of themselves" Ikenna mutters.

"Oh stop whining," The nocker tells him

She nods to Brekke. "But, it's okay? I can stay? Sir Franklyn... he said *you would decide. And I really... really..." She swallows. "...really, do want to stay."

Brekke nods. "I will keep that in mind, Gerd."

"Ikenna, I believe that is possible, but why decline hospitality when it is available?"

"And Margalita, I believe this change has been unsettling for all of you. Try to be patient with your companions."

Gerd shoots Piper a look, "Easy Piper. We don't bite." A pause "Not even Rover Olgar"

"We have two other satyrs. Zane and his dad... the Wayburtons..." An aside, for Piper.

Brekke considers Piper for a moment, then nods. "I understand the circumstances. Jude speaks on your behalf, and I understand the other matter has already been addressed. You may stay." With a serious look that may suggest that she'd better not be disappointed.

Margalita nods and restrains the urge to dismantle something

"Dagmar, Piper is related to the Wayburtons."

"Perhaps you can show her the way to their home?"

It looks as though a tremendous weight has been lifted off Piper's shoulders, and she nearly bounces to her feet. "You won't regret it. Honest."

"Mm. We will speak more."

She nods to Brekke, somber for a moment, but then beams to Dagmar. It seems that it doesn't take this girl long to bounceback. "Let me just get my bags, I don't have a lot..."

"Oh... sure, I can do that."

Piper returns - she really doesn't have much baggage for a cross-country move. A small duffel, a shoulder bag, an instrument case.

"You play an instrument? Cool." Dagmar hops to her feet and grabs her halberd... the polearm is quite a bit taller than the satyress.

"Giiiiirl, I play any instrument. What about you? Now that's a heck of a spear." Admiringly.

"Halberd. Her name is Flyswatter." A shy grin.

"Halbred!" The nocker says right after Dagmar does "People are furking ignorant..."

"I don't play instruments, but I like music okay."

"My mom, though, and her dad... THEY do music. Torrin's a skald, so that means his songs tell stories..."

"Halberd? Halberd. Halberd." She repeats a few times, to stick it in mind. Raising an eye at the nocker, she asks, "Can you tell me the difference between a mandolin, a guitar, a ukelele, and a guitalele?"

"Ikenna...come and sit with me." She indicates another chair by the 'Fire.

The Eshu looks cautious, but sits next

The nocker says "Ah.. one starts with... the...strings and the... well, you know.. everyone knows"

A grin to the nocker. "And a halberd is, I think... like a spear, but with a little extra choppy bit... Not everyone knows everything, but everyone knows something. I can't wait to find out what you know best. Maybe next time I come by." Friendly. Back to Dagmar, "I don't think I want to see the size of those Flies..."

"Oh, not kidding! There was this Bug Guy who was kinda trying to kill me?"

Brekke says quietly to Ikenna, "The young woman there? Dagmar. There are already stories about her, and likely more to be told, and you would be well to keep an eye on her and have your stories be first."

"No kidding! Did you run- " She pauses, and gestures at the door. "Let's get out of their hair? Um. Thank you for the coffee..." Looking around for the other lady, but then just shrugs and runs the mug to the sink before popping back to Dagmar.

That catches the boy off guard. The eshu looks over at the polearm wielding titaness "mmm that.. neat." He says... his eyes dancing with geniune interest

"Run? Nah. See, I woke up with Flyswatter in my hand. Pretty sure I've had her a few lifetimes. I sort of remember having her when I was made a gwydion, as much as I remember that. Other-mes are fuzzy, y'know?"

Margalita blushes mutters and wishes she could dismantle something but seems to have heard the message

"So are you here for a while? What grade are you in? Will you be at school?"

"For the foreseeable is all I know, and who can really see the future? Well, some folk, but I'm not one of them, so I can't tell ya. I was a sophomore before I dropped out. Y'know, lots of great musicians never got their degree."

"But, Auntie M mentioned classes to keep me busy, so... I guess we'll see?"

"Margalita, if you can be patient, I will show you where we have some building materials. There is Sylvi's old playhouse out back...but it needs improvement. I will ask her and her father's permission to allow you to work on it."

Gerd grins "You call her Auntie M? That's.. awesome"

"Well, she gets grumpy if you marsha-marsha-marsha at her, I guess it was a THING when she was a little younger."

Margalita's eyes light up with hope, "Thanks, Chieftain! You're no newton! " As if it were a compliment

"You should! I mean, some of the kids homeschool, but there's a lot of us - I'm a sophomore, too! And so's Sylvi, and Zane, and my best friend Symon..."
