"I guess hte other kinain don't come by much..."

"Still think we should tell someone." He slumps back.

"Well, Chief said I could talk to her later."

"Yeah." Glum.

The door-bell to the shop jingles, and a heavy-step enters. A tall man, blond, with a working-man's clothes and ball cap set far back on his head. At least.... that is what most see.

Dagmar looks up, eyes wide.

"...That's Frank, he's on the list."

He heads straight over to the couple. "Hello, Sam. And Adam."

Adam looks up... agog.

"Woah."

"Sam, mind if Adam and I talk for a while? We can drop you off at home."

Adam swallows, looking at Sam.

"I... sure? I need to get home soon, anyhow."

"Uh, yeah?" He stands, all teenager and sudden. "I can text you, right?"

"Sure." She slides out from the booth.

"Uh..." he follows her slightly. "Still my teacher, right? Tomorrow?"

She nods. "Pretty sure, yeah."

Frank nods. "Come on, Sam. Adam and I will take you home." He looks. "If that's ok with you, Adam?"

Adam nods. "Yessir."

Dagmar follows, looking nervous.
