Dagmar brings the phone to the bathroom, scowling at the mirror. Well, she can wash her face... and.. well, buns? Maybe?

*bzzt* Cool! Thanks! Where?

bzz The Barn?

*bzzt* Cool. Where's that?

bzzt My house. You've been here?

*bzzt* Right! Ok. On the way.

She hikes up her shirt, checking the cut.... a gingery poke, it's not bleeding, ok... two buns, yes. She goes to her room to change from PJs... managing to try on and discard at least five shirts....

T-shirt layered over a long-sleeved shirt... baggy guy-shorts... her favorite sneakers... this is how she usually looks... another scowl.

The bell rings, or there's a knock at the door. Maybe a combo.

Snow hangs down from the oak. "Fruit?"

"Woah! Hey.... hi. You're...Snow, right?"

"Yessssssss. Do you have any bananas? You'd be my best friend if you did!" A shameless monkey-grin.

Meanwhile, Dagmar opens the door.

Adam is turned away talking to the monkey. "Not on me but I can ask inside. And, hey, I could bring some next time."

"Oh, NICE boy! Yes! Fruit! Hello Dagmar! Fruit?"

...."Hi Adam. Is Snow bothering you? She has clementines...."

"Snow may have eaten them..." Snow admits, and Dag sighs

"Hey Sam!" A bright grin. The adventure of the night before seems to hardly show. "How's it going?"

"Well... okay, I guess." Blush, shrug. "Come in for a sec?"

"Thanks!" And he does.

"Your folks home?"

"Dad's at work, I think Tove's recording so we can't be too noisy..."

"Yeah, I checked out some of her stuff. She's amazing!"

"Ok, so.... so how do we do this?"

"I can't just take you to the lodge, but we got a big yard here... so I figured, I could show you what Chief's shown me..."

"Wow, you took lessons from her? Like, fighting lessons?"

"Her and Olgar and Jaymes, too."

"Lots of trolls fight. Gotta, right? To protect people?"

"I guess, yeah. -All- you girls fight? The Esses?"

"Heh. The Esses." She grins. "Yeah."

"Siv's more, like, swashbucklery. Fast, you know? Sylvi, she has magic and is good at mixing that in..."

"Do you have magic?"

She nods. "Some. I'm not that great at it."

"I wish I did." wistfully.

"I dunno how it works for kinain. It's more rare. But you do have the gift to see, so that's something - right?"

"Yeah, I guess so. So.... I guess outside? I brought the stick." He waves it.

Dag tosses a pear at Snow, who happily disappears to devour it. "Yeah, sure."

"And hey, show me this hoop of yours."

She purples. A shrug and a point at the driveway. "Anyhow."

He sticks his head out and looks. "Huh. Looks ok."

"Yeah, well. So I figured I could use practice Flyswatter - that has a wooden head, won't hurt you."

He pops back in. "Sounds good. To start with."

"I might not be a good teacher." She grabs said practice weapon from the hall closet.

"S'ok, I'll be an excellent student." He grins. " 'Sides, you already know more than I do about it."

Blush/shrug. "Okay."

Outside..... "Ok, so...." he flexes and rolls his shoulders, loosening up. "We do warm-up drills or something?"
