"And that's my sister, Gerd. You can tell the family resemblance. Don't worry, she's not depressed. She's just always blue."

Dag stands back, drawing a hand up to nervously chew on the knuckle of her thumb.

Adam freezes up. His eyes cut to Sam. "Am I allowed to talk to them? I forgot the list....."

Gerd says "We're on the list" She smiles at Connor though

"Oh." His tail falls still and he looks worried. It perks right back up when Gerd reassures him though.

"Connor, let me know if you want to tool around town later" she has a leash, to carry for show, "This will fool folks if need be. " A glance at the son of man, and Dagmar "Melee training?"

"Oh, oh! Is there ice cream? The squishy kind in cones?! I could eat that."

"Gerd is on the list, and you've met Connor before. Most of the Lodge is..." Fidget, scuff, shrug.

His head tilts to one side, and he moves over to where they were practicing. "Was it like this?" He strikes a pose, not unlike what she was showing Adam - except he leans a bit too far forward in a lunge, and wobbles, nearly falling. The tail doesn't help much - theoretically it could help with balance, except it just won't stop WAGGING.

"Almost."

"Hey, don't let me interrupt," Gerd motions for them to carry on, then smiles at Connor, "Maybe we'll get a cone later. I got some spare cash."

"Hey there, Gerd." If he finds the name odd, he doesn't let it show. He grins. "Yeah, I'm letting Sam show me a few of her moves. We might hit the hoop later." Casual.

Dagmar draws her lips into a thin line, but doesn't say anything.

"Why hit hoops when you can eat scoops? I can slam dunk though, I'm an excellent b-baller." He glances from Dagmar to Gerd, and then moves to the goth girl's side. "Can we go for a walk now instead?"

"Letting? If you want to survive you'll not just let, you'll listen. Dagmar's our best wilder warrior unless you count my uncle maybe and he's a grump soon" Gerd says

"A grump? Let me guess, we're wilders, right? So... like, a grown-up?"

"Yeah, grumps are old."

Gerd looks down, "Sometimes I have a hard time being sure of you, little bro, but if you want ice cream now, take my hand"

"Like, 30."

"Ancient" Gerd agrees

"Yeah." Regretfully for those about to die. "That sucks."

"Yeah, now. Breakfast ice cream is the most important part of the day." He tugs at Gerd's hard, trying to lead her away.

Adam's laugh is uncomplicated, clean. "I like the way you think, little man!"

He glances at Sam. "You want to go get ice cream with them? My treat?"

And Gerd gets up, "Later guys, I'm being taken for a walk"

"Breakfast ice cream?"

"Yeah!"

"Well, I mean... I like ice cream..."

She takes Connor's hand and whispers "let's scare the new guy." Then says loud and clear "To the moon wolf''s palace, we go to howl, give us ice cream or we will growl! "

and right in front of Adam, Gerd and Connor vanish!

"AWOOOOO!" He howls, cut off mid-voice and is gone!

"Or Gerd can cheat."

Adam's jaw drops.

"I'm -never- gonna get used to you guys doing that...."

"Yeah, wish I could do that. It's pretty cool, but it's cstly, too"

"Costly? Like.... like dross and glamour and that?"

"Exactly like that. We gotta walk, though."

"Do we don't!" He jingles his keys. "Come on. We'll come back to this later." He heads for his car, but brings his stick along.

"Oh! Okay... let me tell Tove..."

Adam waits, leaning against the car; a study in handsome teen casual.

Dag thunders upstairs to let tove know there is 'training ice cream"

"Training ice... you're going out with.. " She catches herself "Fine... but take your phone, if you're gone more than an hour send me a message on why"

"Okay. Gerd and Connor are going, too."

And back outside!

That seems to relieve Tove a bit, but why she'd be a bit cautious in the first place is hard to say.

"We can't be more than an hour, but how long does ice cream really take?"

Adam brightens when she appears. "An hour? Bummer..... you got stuff to do after that?" He hits the button, the car locks pop, and then off they go!

"Uh, well... Stormwake, and chores..."

"What's Stormwake?" He drives sanely. After Siv, it's a relief.

"Stormwake is the Chief's horse, but I help out AND I get to take riding lessons with him."
