Hands shove into his pockets and he moves over to Tove instead. "Do you go by Mrs. King now? You're too young to be a Mrs. in my opinion, but I don't want to be rude."

"Is what the water?"

"Thank you, Symon. I am actually rather proud to be Mrs. King, but if you want to call me T ove that's fine too"

"Doing this to everyone?"

Tove smiles at Adam , "More like this place seems to be a magnet for kithain kind"

Jaymes grunts as if he remembered something, and goes to the kitchen

"Well, lots of places have fae - right? But there's only about a dozen of us at Valley."

"A.... " distracted for a moment as Jaymes moves, then back to Tove... then to Sam "A.... Fire?"

"Lots... a dozen?!?!"

"I've heard about the water other places having effects on Kithain..." He pauses, then nods, recognizing that Tove mentioned the Kithain word first. "He's cool to talk to? Wouldn't want to have to bury him in the woods. Digging it hard work if you can't convince Dirk there's already a corpse at the bottom of the hole he can keep."

"He's enchanted."

"And Oathed" Tove says nodding

He moves a bit closer, looking over Adam again. A thoughtful frown as he takes in the vestiges of a mein and the pointed ears. "Figures."

"We don't have a lot of sidhe around here." A shrug.

Adam removes the glasses and rubs his eyes. With them off, he is still very handsome, but in a apocalypse-survivor kind of way. He looks.... rough.

Tove looks worried "You poor dear. Are you getting enough sleep?"

A shrug and he looks at Sam.

"Chief said yes."

"It really will get easier?"

Jaymes returns and says "Here" offering Symon a small paper bag

He blinks and accepts it, peering inside.

"Didn't sleep last night. Kept seeing and hearing... stuff." He admits and it could be he admits it to Sam.

"And you don't know what's normal, and what's a threat, and then there's nevers and things that just get curious and have to look at you?"

Sweet tart candies that have gotten chalky, some twizlers that seem to be past their prime, and yes, a sweet roll with a bit of mold "You don't have to take them but... I figured you don't get those often " A shrug

"Nevers can get kind of annoying...."

Jaymes, having talked more to Symon in one sentence than he has in a while, now seeks a seat to recharge

He nods.

Dagmar takes out the Lupine book and holds it out to Symon. "You familiar with this? Or a game called Faerie:The Wondering?"

Adam slumps into a chair.

He blinks in surprise, and gives a little nod of thanks... figuring that Jaymes probably speaks that nonverbal language better than any stammered gratitude. He pulls a sweet tart out of the bag and tucks it into his cheek.

"Hmph." She proceeds to get Adam a lemonade.

He accepts the book and glances over the cover, running fingertips on too long, spindly fingers over it in a somewhat reverential way.... mmmm.... nerd stuff... and then flips through curiously. "Where'd you get this? Is this a first issue or something? I've seen it before."

"The gaming store by Greely's. They also had the Faerie book, which, like, is an Escheat-breaking instruction manual with some words changed."

Jaymes eyes Adam, then looks to Dagmar "That staff ...chimerical oak. You made it too small... for a troll"

She had over whittled...but it was strong stuff. Still is.

Frown, nod. "Yeah. I screwed it up..."

"Huh, now THAT I'd like to see. I like that game store, though. Do we need to send Dirk to shake them down?" A glance over to Adam, and soft snort when he noticed him snoring. "He's just kinain, right? Are we doing him a favor by throwing him in head first? Doesn't seem like he's especially enjoying the ride."

"Well... no, he's having a tough time. But he also can, like, see us. Unenchanted."

"You didn't." he says "You just didn't know someone who might need it when enchanted" Jaymes motions to the now sleeping Adam

"Oh... to defend himself?"

Nod. Grunt.

Tove says to Symon "he has a gift to see even when not aglow. I'm afraid between that and the book, the Chieftain felt pressed to throw him in the deep end as you say, Symon"

"Which sucks, yeah. He doesn't even get super powers out of the deal."

"Too soon to tell" Jaymes says simply "He may have other gifts beyond seeing. "

Tove nods "Sally Mae says some Kinain can even talk to the dead"

"And you got babysitting duty. Figures." A sigh. "Not that he seems a bad guy. He's kinda a jock, but he games too." A faint grin to Dagmar. "I know some folk like that."

"Yeah, I'm supposed to watch out for him and answer questions."

"Keep him out of too much trouble."
